Also heard on ABC postmatch: out Hilfy, in Starc. Not too sure about that one...

yeah i've heard whispers of that too.. something like the bowling needs to be changed up because of our shower performance in SA's first innings, and Hilfy was the least convincing of the lot.

Not sure what the go will be after our better second innings?

JBs-Hawks

Kinda need starc for some variety. No idea on statistics but I'd say that Adelaide oval doesn't really suit hilfys bowling style.

colmullet

Hilfy looked like he was pretty pedestrian this test....i mean more so than the others on that highway

Grazz

Was a good Test Match, over 5 days/rounds id give SA 2 rounds with the rain day even then give the Aussies 2 rounds for the last 2 days. Deuce so far, but gotta say im still concerned about our ability to ball them out twice.

Spinking

What is great that it looks like we are in for a great series. SA are the number 1 ranked team and we matched it with them blow for blow.

Also love seeing maligned players get runs / wickets. M Clarke... Where are the haters now...

I think there will be two changes made for Adelaide:

Hilfenhaus/Siddle out for Starc
Quiney out for Watson

I hope that Quiney stays in but if Watson is fit then Quiney is the logical omission. However, we all know what Dave Warner can do but he is not out of the woods so he could also face the axe if the selectors wanna give Quiney another game or two to prove himself on a true batsmen's wicket.

Pattinson is the spearhead of the Aussie attack so he will not get dropped, but Hilfy and Sidds both had excellent summers last year. However, such is the strength and high competition for spots, I think Starc adds something to the bowling line-up which might see Hilfenhaus or Siddle get dropped for Adelaide (and brought back for a 4-man pace-war at the WACA). Morne Morkel troubled the Aussies with his left arm swing and Starc is a similar bowler as well so should come in

Nails

Drop Ponting not Warner

Ponting is some 37yo flower

Warner is the future

Quiney could be the future for a good 6 years.

Wow that's a stupid comment.

I think Quiney deserves another Test.

My 2nd Test Team:
D.Warner
E.Cowan
S.Watson
R.Quiney
M.Clarke
M.Hussey
M.Wade
J.Pattinson
M.Starc
P.Siddle
N.Lyon

Hate Lyon though but we need a spinner. Surely there's someone better in this country?
Also Ponting hardly deserves to play after a duck.

Let's recruit some 12yo spinner... Australia's best 12yo spinner and he can play for 25 years... He'll kill it @ 22yo with all the experience he has gained from 12-22... Might get a Shane Warne 2.0 :o

S.Watson
E.Cowan
R.Quiney
R.Ponting
M.Clarke
M.Hussey
M.Wade
J.Pattinson
M.Starc
P.Siddle
N.Lyon

Hilfy very unlucky.

sorry you're right I was a bit out of line, but he definitely did trouble Hussey yesterday morning and adds variety to the Saffas attack, similar to what Starc can do

I'd like to see Steve O'Keefe get a crack; he's like Steve Smith but a much better spinner

Think you're pretty spot on there ele. Either that or Quiney comes out and Warner stays in the team... Not sure which one it'll be yet!
