Sydney were predicted to slip but instead they had a great year and managed to get to the last day in septmber and win it. At no point throughout the year did sydney look like the best side or unbeatable though. They can be beaten by almost any team away from the scg

We lost against Hawthorn at the SCG but beat them at Aurora and the MCG... Didn't play a final at the SCG, but still beat Adelaide and Collingwood so we beat every other team in the top four AWAY from the SCG.

"Managed to get to the last day in September..." Right... that's not underselling our season at all. You're kidding yourself if you think we weren't one of the top 2 teams this year. We proved that we are.

at the start of the year most people were predicting the Swans to finish outside the 8, i thought that we had a chance to finish in the top 4, and easily the top 8. Didnt see the crows coming. I didnt think we would be the minor premiers as we had tough games to finish

You only have to make the GF to be a chance to win it and we did.

Sydney also lost to st.kilda and richmond. Good on them for winning the gf, they deserved it im not taking that away from them. Im just saying they arent a dominant top side that teams fear playing. They could very well slip back down the ladder to the bottom half of the 8 next year

They had major injuries to Goodes and Mumford. People thought without them Sydney would be next to useless (even I thought we'd be in trouble)

But Sydney have shown that they are in the elite of AFL teams by the fact they beat every top 8 team. Sure they lost to Richmond and St.Kilda, but only one of those will be a threat next year.

I'm not saying Sydney are the all out favourites, that should go to Hawthorn. But they've shown they're easily a top 2 side in the competition.

Definetly improved as the season went on.
