Sweetness

Looks good Noz
The omission of Goddard is surprising, might payoff as a POD but time will tell I guess. Pittard should be up and running by round 1 so that's a good pick.
Strong midfield! Love the fact you have Beams in there, I reckon he will smash it next year, and dare I say it, outscore Swan...
I would want Fyfe to have a strong preseason, you want your mids avg 110+...can he do that?
Same rucks as everyone  :P That I take as a good thing though.
Haven't seen one team with Tyson it it yet, so kudos to you. I reckon Christenson will seriously breakout next year with more midfield time, he is in my team at the moment to.
Overall it's a good team, very different to most cookie cutter ones you see posted all over the forums, which is nice  ;D

Toga

very unique team noz, and i really like it!

Backs: Would like to see Goddard in there, Essendon recruited him with the hope of turning him into a full time midfielder, should go bang next year. I like Atley, Bock and Pittard back there, not sure if I'm ballsy enough to take Atley though! Don't think Smedts will see regular games next year in all honesty... Too much competition for his spot for my liking.

Midfield: Love your midfield, and I really like the inclusion of Nat Fyfe. One of my favourite players, I am seriously considering him in the mids next year as well. I like Toumpas and Viney in there, but I think you definitely need Jaeger O'Meara - the kid is a gun.

Rucks: Pretty stock standard, although I'm hesitant to get Daniher. I think Witts or Daw present better value imo.

Forwards: Very unique, I like Zaha, Christensen and Tyson in there, thinking about taking the punt on Christ and Tyson myself. LeCras is the pick up of the year i think. Probably going to start Daniel Menzel over Varcoe, just think he has more upside tbh.

I like it though :)

Capper

Nice team Noz, i also dont think i will start with Goddard.

I would have thought that you would have one of Smedts and Bock in the backs and one in the forwards for DPP.

GAJ, Beams and Pendles all have the same bye round as well as probably Toumas.

I dont know alot about Kristian Jaksch, Sam Mayes, Mason Shaw. What can you tell me??

Jaksch: Likely to go top 15 or so, KPP that can play forward or back (I think).

Mayes: Winger/Medium Forward from North Adelaide, the kid's a gun but will be expensive because he will very likely go top 7 or so. Averaged around 80 ppg at the U18 National Champs. Definitely worth a look in the forward line.

Shaw: One of the best KPF prospects in this draft, very prominent up forwards. The amount of games he gets will depend on where he goes, but I assume it'll be freo, so I don't think he will feature much in 2013. Wouldn't risk him in my DT next year anyway as a key forward, scoring is just too inconsistent for my liking.

To answer some questions
Nat Fyfe was in great form before he got injured take away his 22 (the game were he got injured in) and his average goes up 14 points. I know you can't take out games but Fyfe provides good value for his price.

Hard to see what role Goddard will play, Essendon already have some decent young running back man guys like Hibbered, Dempsey, Heppel, Baguley just to name a few so Goddard could get lost there. Could do well in the bombers midfield but not well enough to justify his high price tag.

A fit Dom Tyson puts him in the top bracket at GWS seeing as he was given the DPP status next year makes him quite valuable does come at a difficult price though should justify his price tag in the early stages and reward us with a nice score predicting an average of 80-85.

Varcoe V Menzel was a tough job hard to split them, Could see them both fighting for the same spot, Menzel is still not 100% will monitor closely as pre season comes around.

Jaksch can play both forward and defence and this has given him the DPP status which compliments Bock and Smetds who also has the DPP status and Staker as well. Jaksch is also one of the best KPP DEF/FWD that has come through the draft in a few years.

As Toga said Mayes will be one of the rookies of the year which should see him feature in the majority of teams.

Might not stick with Shaw as i am having Jaksch, Staker and Bock as well as Franklin too many KPPs might smell danger for my team.

I believe Atley will become a very good player next year and have a breakout year should pop up with a nice average as well in a young kangaroos line up.

Jaeger O'Meara was hard to leave out but i still don't know if he has recovered from his groin injury and if he will be running back by the time pre season roles around as it is early stages i have decided to leave him out for now.

Anyways those are just some reasons why i picked these players thanks for the input so far guys  :)

Great team, Awesome midfield. Hoping Christensen comes good this year?

With Chris Scott already saying he will look to the young guns to play the majority of game time in the midfield Christensen is the first name that comes to mind should bump up his average and become quite a neat DT player.
