New logo ideas

I have been fooling around with a new logo, as part of a site redesign. Let me know what you think, especially of the difference between outlined text and black text.





For those who have forgotten, the three coloured ovals are supposed to represent the three stages of football: kids playing with an orange plastic footy around the house; juniors where you play with a red ball during the day; and seniors where you play with a yellow ball under lights.

I'm thinking that the ovals would have mouseovers to link to the iPhone, Android and tablet apps when they're done (no I don't know when!).

Sorry if this seems harsh, but I honestly don't think this is a good new look for FF and I also have never seen an orange footy. It was always red plastic balls.

I prefer this logo, which was created by Hawk_88, some time ago I think.

I remember that. TBH m0nty, I much prefer this one too. It's a more modern looking logo and it looks kinda badass. :P

Agree with the guys above me. I do like the red/yellow/orange model but it looks a bit...Outdated. :-[

I must say that Hawks logo looks the best of those said in this thread. It looks modern, bold and attractive. The other one that does seem a little old and possibly outdated, but I do like the idea behind the different colour ball concept.

the general consensus is the the proffered one seems if anything a little more dated than the current.
