Welcome ladies and gentlemen, to the 2012 Elxam Awards Hub.

Over the course of the next 2 months, various awards will be handed out to members of the FanFooty community, some for the outstanding contributions, some for being plain annoying.

At present there are 28 different categories, so there is a lot to get through!

Nominations for certain awards will begin this week, and then close a week from today. Voting will then take place for a week after the nominations close. Below you will find a list of all the categories and when nominations/votings begin.

If there is a category that you believe should be listed, PM myself and if it's good enough, I'll add it to the list!

Week 1

These awards were set up in honour of a very special member of the FanFooty community and are our way of remembering him.

Elxam.

I, unfortunately didn't have the chance to meet him on FanFooty, but I have been told from those that knew him, that he was an upstanding FanFooty member, a great DreamTeam coach and an all-round genuinely great bloke.

Please take a minute to reflect and remember him as he is still sorely missed by this community. :'(

Probably a tad too new to get a nomination and/or award this year, but just looking at some of them, I think I might actually try for a few in 2013. I love awards, bit of a glory hunter. :P

Tool of the Year isn't necessarily aimed at a FanFooty member, just incidents in the AFL world that are deemed tool-worthy.

Heath Shaw won the award last year for the betting scandal and the sub rule came second.
