I personally think our draw is marvellous, 2 games against GC and GWS and the last ever game at AAMI. :)

Dudge

Sort of Koop, but no friday night games >:(

Noz

First tough game will be against the Eagles in round 5 we are very likely to go 4-0 to start the season.

Ah mate, wish i had your confidence :). Definately not saying we can't, but u seem to be a glass half full  person ( which i envy ), but i'm a glass half empty type, unless i start to get the taste, then i'm always empty lol. But geez, wouldn't that be a dream start :D

Well when you think about it we have Melbourne down at the MCG our travelling record hasn't been great but we could snatch a win there, Then our next game at home against Giants we SHOULD win, Derby is a coin toss will Adelaide drop off with the exclusion of Tippett. Should beat Gold Coast as well.

Would be pretty awesome if we are 4-0 after round 4  :D

Mate i'd be rapped ; :)

Dont think Port will be as bad as a lot of people think in 2013 but I think a 2-2 start is a bit more realistic than 4-0

Dudge

If we can get over the Dees over there, i reckon we could go 3-1. I think the Crows have our measure just at the minute :(

Ziplock

I think we're going to see melbourne improve more than port, you'll lose to them and adelaide imo.

GWS/GC... it's difficult to say about such young teams... all they need is for a handful of their talented youngsters to break out and they'll run right over you.

With a whole new coaching staff, and some new recruits, i think we could improve at the same rate as Melbourne. As u said the GWS and GC are hard to read. Yes they can run over over the top of us Zip, but they also have quite a few games, where they get behind and get steam-rolled

Ziplock

that was this year, next year could be different- with the ridiculous youth they have, insane improvement over 1 pre-season is possible.

as for the new coaching staff- primus was doing a really good job, and was leading your team in exactly the right direction... I dunno if you can call Hinkley a step up, considering he was like their 5th choice, once they realised nobody else wanted the job.

Insane improvement is certainly possible- next year COULD be different, man could visit mars. Zip u could become Americas president. Anything COULD happen, but u have ur view and others have their own. The 5th choice thing mate, cheap shot

Ziplock

cheap maybe, but, at best, slight exaggeration.

people weren't exactly beating down the port adelaide doors. FTR, mars is intended on being settled by 2023, so in 10 years... :P

completely missed my point though. Yeah, some of those things are unlikely... but the GWS/ GC improvement over 1 pre-season isn't- maybe not this season, it's anyones guess. But with the talent both lists have, it's going to happen one day, and then you're all going to get owned :P

But to run over port we wouldn't even need insane improvement... if we land tippett, all we'd really need is another key defender, and one of our mids to step up and we'd beat you into the ground. Again.

I'm not doubting for a minute, that there is stacks of talent in both the clubs list. I'm not doubting that they will one day become powers of the AFL. The only thing i'm doubting is, if it,s as early as this season coming. But mate we could do that avatar/picture thing for a month if u'd like. And btw, i've never rated the basketballer anyway

Noz

Port will win more games than GWS, GC and Melbourne next year with that fixture we could realistically head into the bye at 5 wins 5 losses. If we snag a few away wins as well as that match at TIO stadium we could be around 10-11 wins for the season.

With an elite midfield, A forward line with one of the best key forwards in the comp Jay Schulz we will do alright
