Goddard 13, Grimes 12, Gibbs 13, Broughton 13, Birchall 11, Pederson 12, Bock 13   (Docherty 11, Heath 13)
Ablett 13, Pendles 13, Murphy 13, Ball 13, OMeara 13, Wines 11/12 (Crouch 13, Viney 12)
Goldy 12, Burger 11 (Grundy 13, 96k R/F)
Franklin 11, Roughead 11, Martin 13, Gray 13, Knights 13, Lecras 12, Mayes ? (Strigner ?, Lee 12)

400k spare for prices

now obviously alot of round 13 players. Now when i originally looked at the list i saw this as a problem but with it being round 13 and not round 12 is workable. With soo many round 13 players in the team round 11 and 12 should be easier. I have limited it to 3 keepers in def mid and fwd from round 13.

In defense: Goddard, Gibbs are locks and probably going broughton and sticking with these 3. Bock and Heath will have to by round 13. Bock should be a good stepping stone for a round 13 trade to say waters/suckling etc...

have gone 5 premo backline just for the value in other lines. Bock and Pederson i can see being solid options much like hargreave and lake were this year. Dont see much backline rookie value yet.

In mids: Ablett and Pendles i had to have to Swanny doesnt make the cut. Murphy just has too much value priced at his average. I was thinking mundy but cant pass up on ball. Much like Bock i can see ball being 400+ round 12 and than i move him on for a premo like cotchin. I think its important having these stepping stone players with either round 12 or 13 byes.

I really like the mid rookies and i can pass up on them. Omeara Crouch and Viney are all rookie priced so are undervalued and i can see all playing games early. Wines to me looks like the most afl ready and should be at the dogs or demons so thats a good bye and a good place to get games.

Wines and Viney look like they wont be 13 so i will keep them, Omeara and Crouch will be so i will be upgrading those first to round 11 or 12 players.

In rucks: Goldy could be the top 3 so you have to have him. Burger if priced that low you cant not have in your team. 11 and 12 are perfect with grundy at 13. Alot of people have daniher at 4 but i dont see him playing much so i have gone with a 40k cheaper F/R.

In FWDS:
Buddy to me is still the best forward, I had to many problems last year in the rucks so thats why roughy is there. Martin i felt we picked one year to early if he is a fwd he or rocky will be in my squad.

Knights Gray and Lecras i can see as being decent F6/ F7 options i plan on one of them turning into a super premo, probably knights or Gray as round 13 for a round 12 or 11 player.

Mayes and Stringer are just 2 of a few guys im looking at, I may drop crouch in the mids for a F/M like stringer for some flexibility. Lee if named round 1 will be in my squad. I watched him play in the WAFL and he is ready.

MURRIMAGIC

Interesting team Holz, looks pretty balanced.

I myself won't be risking mid-pricers again this year, but good luck!

Capper

Nice team, i also like Roughie in the forwards with a DPP in the rucks to move with

Regarding Daniher i think it depends on Gumby. If Gumby can play alot of games then it doesnt look good for Daniher.

Toga

looking nice holz.

forward line is a bit weak imo, would dropping knights or gray to menzel/varcoe/mitch morton and upgrading the other one to someone like zaha? that's what i've done with my team...

but I like the backs, midfield and ruck!

Depending on how the back and forward rookies shape up you might not have a choice. :-\

Good team Holz. I'm still backing in Redden ahead of Murphy, I feel like his tackling insulates him in games where there isn't as much ball to be had. But obviously I'm in the minority there because every man and his dog seems to be going Murph.

I'm yet to be convinced by Crouch and Viney. Viney did okay in his VFL matches, averaging 70 with a Wojcinski affected match and his JS is good but I just get the feeling there'll be better options that present themselves.

Side note - If Rocky AND Daisy get DPP would you be tempted to play both?

Justin Bieber

I thought you said you will never get Broughton again?

agreed they do look a little weak i normally would have 4 premos. However i think gray could fill this role and average 85+ . The plsu side i guess is that normally i play a rookie f6 so knights should be able to beat that.

I may drop knights to a rookie and turn lecras into stevie J. I want stevie J by atleast round 9, he plays port GC and GWS in a row. He could average 140 over those rounds.

Broughton at GC is a completely different story. I have always rated him as a DT player, it was just lyon who stuffed him up. If he gets a good role at GC he could go 90+ very easily.

yeah crouch and viney are just in there at the moment as i know where they will be playing. Omeara and Wines really the locks the bench could change.

If rocky and thomas are dpp they will be in my team. I will probably drop buddy or martin . I would alos drop knights and either lecras or gray. and go rookie and thomas/rocky.

Justin Bieber

And with the GC's dream draw.

yeah fair enough. atm leccy is ahead of gray in my team because of the uncertainty around gray's injury... still not sold on him. but yeah, didn't realise that about stevie. might have to look at starting him, he definitely needs to be there by rd 9!

Like every year, the mid-pricers are under valued on Fanplanner. Hayes was listed at $225k last year and ended up as $375k...?

Think about it, can they allow this many mid-priced players to be this cheap. You won't need to trade until bye rounds!

agreed thats why i have 400k left over. If i need more i just turn one of the midpircers into a rookie.

Burger i can see being around 300k. I would still pay that. I would get ball up to 375k anymore and i would find some cash to bring in mundy.

My strategy for the byes is hope I don't get stuffed and stress when the byes come round.
