Very Happy with the draw for Lions. Only playing Geelong and north twice from last years top 8.  Also playing Melbourne, Gold Coast and Bulldogs twice. Only one trip to Perth but games in Launceston and Darwin.

3 Twilight games as well.  Took a little getting used to this year especially with the setting sun.

2 blockbusters Carlton on 25th May and Pies the following Friday night. (31st May). First Friday night for a number of years.

Know we have tried to get FF get together but maybe if it suits Qld FF members should we try a get together for the Pies game.

Gold coast does the same versing Carlton then Collingwood at home in a row ???

Decent draw, similar to the GC I think

Mailman the 2nd

Pretty much the easiest draw in the comp, which is good I suppose.

Maybe a dark horse for the top 8?

For our Melbourne supporters disappointed that we did not get the 6 games asked for.  Can not see why there could not be other teams drawn to play Hawthorn and Melbourne in Launceston and Darwin respectively rather than another interstate team.
Know the interstate teams probably do not draw as well but surely the AFL must recognose that their supporters in Melbourne should also be given some consideration. On the downside this may reduce our supporter base in Melbourne which will not be good.

Would have liked to have seen Swans v Lions twice, not to help the Swans but to enjoy the clash. State of origin at its best, everygame betweeen the 2 of them is a tussle

Would be highly unlikely to happen but wouldn't it be great to schedule a Swans/Lions clash on the Friday or Saturday night following the State of Origin Rugby League battle in either Sydney or Brisbane. Probaly give NSW some consolation afer wednesday night.

Reckon you guys will push close to the top 8 now. I'm expecting massive improvement from your young guns next year
