Nice one Nige, what are you looking at doing after uni?
Not too sure at this stage. Even though I'm doing a major in Business Studies, my degree is a Bachelor of Arts so that's what it'll be recognised as, which is basically good for nothing. I'm still unemployed atm, and I've never had a job, but I'm hoping to get one and maybe just work as often as I can for the second half of 2016 after I finish my course and then decide, so kinda like half a gap year.

It'll cost you a dollar per thrust. I can probably give you change for a 10

Was pretty gutted a few days ago.

I've done my undergrad in science, but I wanted to do my post grad in physio at the same uni, so last year I sent an email asking what prereqs I'd need to fill, and got emailed back a list of topics I'd need to cover. So this year I spent the year covering those prereqs...

but then they changed the prereq entry requirements this year to include more exercise physiologiy but drop exercise sport science (like biomechanics, motor control + learning)... so I only met like 3/6 exercise physiology requirements (there were 60 requirements to be met all up and it was specified that not all requirements had to be met for entry).

It was just a bummer, I probably just had to do one more subject or something stupid.. I'm still looking at alternative entry, but was pretty cut.

And why would you knock people back like 3 days before finals start, such a demotivator lol.

Easiest exam ever today

Only needed 20% to pass the unit so did limited study - played Fallout for the 2 1/2 hours between waking up and leaving for the exam this morning while reading over my notes during loading screens. Half of the exam was just doing what we did in one of the assignments which I crushed, and in the answer-4-of-5-questions section, the other half, I had 4 questions which I could answer good. None of the stuff I really studied was even on the exam - just easy stuff I got by on through general knowledge of marketing :D

Only need 10% to pass the unit for my next assignment, so will probably do even less studying haha

Try to do exactly what you want to when/ if you start uni... because the general bureaucratic bs  you have to go through when dealing with unis if you chop and change is the biggest nightmare.

Also, it is legitimately just a number and doesn't really stop you from doing anything (as nobody gives a flower about it). Had several mates not get the ATARs they wanted and are still doing what they hoped to do.

Even I didn't get what I aimed for and am pretty happy with what I'm doing. I initially thought I wouldn't get in to my preferred course but I ended up getting an offer and turned it down for my second preference.

I know lads, got over 80 so am reasonably happy, should get into the course I want to and defer for 2017.

Will be keen to get my offers mid Jan though

Good to hear mate  :)

Why defer though?

why not?

gap years are great- whether your travelling or working :p

If you live a pain in the ass commute to uni though I'd definitely recommend full time work... if you do a year of full time work you're eligible for independent rate of centrelink, which makes it a flower tonne easier to leave home (especially if you're rural or something/ not from a particularly well off family).
