I have a feeling this isn't going to be me getting praise for great referencing...I know I didn't plagiarise at all tho, so maybe it's just a trick to get me to come to class for once :P

On turnitin I got 28%, but I'm fairly sure a lot of that is because I submitted it with my uni's cover page

Done the intro of my essay, not sure whether to do the first paragraph today as well, depends how well I'm focusing.

Not looking forward to the referencing, I'll lose marks there for sure so I have to make sure the essay itself is pretty solid.

I tried divide up my essay so that I didn't breach the max word limit of 1500 and I've somehow got to 1438 before I've even put in quotes and done the conclusion, even though I've constantly been checking the word count.

Pruning should be fun.

If you got to 2000 what would happen?

Would they mark it harshly or just take a couple marks off?

They generally don't look favourably on breaches of the word limit. I could probably get away with like maybe 100 over, but 500 over? Highly unlikely.

I've basically bullshowerted my way through the whole thing (well, some of it), so cutting out some of the bullshower shouldn't be too much of an issue since half of what I've said is probably irrelevant.  :P

Consult your tutor/lecturer first though! Some of my assignments for essays/lab reports had a strict word limit with no 10% leeway, so make sure they permit those first for this one!

Yeah, exactly. This is one of those.

I have to add in quotes and references before submitting it by 4pm (the deadline), this should be fun. Need to use at least 6 post-2005 academic journals or something, so I'll probably find at least 6 plus chuck the textbook in there as a reference too and be done with it.  :P

So I used the database available with Uni for the first time since first year and some of the academic journals available have links to cite them so I didn't have to do it myself.  :P

Here's hoping it goes well. I think the actual essay isn't too bad, even though there is some bullshower in there. I'm just worried about the referencing.

I find referencing pretty easy, just annoying if anything haha. I reference when I procrastinate actual writing up the essay. And you're done Nige, right way to just let it go until you get your marks back!
