DAVE, YOU MISSED OUT ON THE PERFECT OPPORTUNITY FOR THE "THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID" JOKE.
AND YOU MISSED OUT ON THE PERFECT OPPORTUNITY TO SHUT THE flower UP
Dave pls, I'm stressed out and freaking the flower out while procrastinating over an assignment which is due tomorrow and I have no idea about.
I hear ya Nige. I have a lab that needs to be done by Tuesday. If I fail the lab, I'm 99% sure I fail the unit :-X
This is worth 30% and it's too late for an extension. We have to get 50% overall across the two assessments and the exam to pass the unit (iirc). And we have to get 40% minimum on the exam... I'm so flowered. I'm supposed to be majoring in this shower too, and I can't even do an essay for it. Not sure how I went on my speech/presentation.
P's get degrees Nigel. P's get degrees.

So, my Drama group is pissed off at me (they're trying to pretend/act like they're not) because I'm really busy this week when they are actually at fault for leaving things so damn late (we've had like three weeks since we got the group together). Things could have been set in concrete two weeks ago, but they kept flowering around. I kept out of most of the stuff because most have strong personalities and I wasn't about to get into shower with some randoms.

The main reason I'm busy is because I've got a stack of appointments which have been scheduled this week because Mum likes to book the both of us in for things at the same time to kill two birds with one stone. She's going overseas for a month on Saturday. I'll probably start my first ever shift of work this Friday so I'm not gonna turn that down for a rehearsal.

On top of that, my group decided we'd be using masks for part of our performance but didn't care to take into account or even ask/listen to me being as blind as a bat without my glasses which the masks won't go over. I said I'd take a role without the masks, but they insisted I didn't. A week and a half of me worrying about a character I won't even be playing...

TL;DR - My Drama group are being *dolly collections* and are trying to make me a scapegoat for the fact that they can't get their shower together.

Language please! Some groups tend to do that, so slack and leave it last minute, but then some people can't do anything about being pre-booked.... Why I hate group assignments at times!

I screwed up my oral so bad, worth 10% so eh.... I suck at orals but this was just bad haha. Rest of my group did better and I did next to nothing compared to everybody else in my class, so I'd be lucky to scrape 5%.

Need at least 3.5/6 from my lab today to avoid failing the unit, nervously awaiting to receive mark from tutor  :-\

Although I honestly can't see myself getting more than 3...

Probably going to switch degrees as I'm just not enjoying programming and it's a much bigger part of Software Engineering than I thought it would be when I chose the course. Business Info Systems seems a lot better, and I've already done some of its core units and really enjoyed them

I have to teach my class so I had to come in. Feeling a bit better now. Coffee certainly helps.

from my group experience my advice is:
be honest! tell them about the glasses....it can't be avoided and needs to be dealt with. if you have a group email/ facebook chat going then post it in that..
and also if they blame you for shower you didn't do, ask them why they didn't do anything in the first couple of weeks...

also-don't sweat the petty things, and don't pet the sweaty things  ;)

Yeah, so today I was pretty much like "I'm not gonna do it" and got my role changed to one that doesn't need a mask.

Now I just gotta work hard on memorising my lines (which I'm terrible at doing). Have been given freedom to change my lines a bit to whatever suits if it makes it easier.

Improv bro
I was like "Improv is my thing" and then said "I promise I'll do my best to memorise the lines, but I won't hesitate to improv if worst comes to worst."
