Just starting at monash Clayton, takes me about an hour through public transport but like 25-30 mins driving... Which I won't be doing lol. shower forgot about my timetable gotta put it in by a week I think.

Looking forward to o week.
It's worth finding a lift when the difference is so much (I have the same driving to PT time difference as you and driving is SOOOO much better - maybe we live near each other :o). But it's up to you what you want to do.

Clayton O-Week is AMAZING! Make sure you come with a liver ready to be abused and a positive attitude. Join clubs, meet new people, sign up for camps, and go to the trivia night. It'll definitely be worth it!

Yeah have already singed up for one camp really looking forward to it :). I have my driving test next week and I've got a mate who's got his already who does some of the same classes, could car pull with him. What's the parking costs like though?

Parking is atrociously expensive but it's free if you carpool! You can register for carpooling at the start of the year and then park for free in the carpooling areas!
Yeah it's pretty expensive but I prefer driving to public transport. My blue permit was around $370 for the year. As Huggy said, it's free if you carpool, so if you have a mate who has essentially the same start/end times as you, should do that.
Yeah ok cheers guys. Once the timetable comes out I will have a chat to a few blokes about doing that. I don't mind taking public transport at all but I get the feeling eventually doing 15 min walk 15 min train and 25 min bus trip twice a day could get annoying eventually :P

Meet A LOT of people in the first couple of weeks and ask if any of them live near campus or in halls. I have some friends in sharehouses right near campus so I just pick them up on my way through. So convenient!
