Labs are so much fun when you finish 90% of the work in 15 mins, and have to wait an hour and a bit until the demonstrator explains the one bit you don't get.

labs are even more fun when you finish it in half an hour, but the demo won't sign off everyone's name until they've explained why everything happened the way it did at the end, so you have to wait 3.5 hours for the morons in your cohort to finish.

I got an email early this afternoon saying that I won the Third Year Linguistics Prize at Monash. That means that I was the best (grades-wise, I assume) linguistics student in third year this year.
Pretty damn pumped about that one :D
