I've got 6 stakeholder perspectives to choose from and have to pick 3, and then discuss those 3 perspectives in 750 words (so like 250 words each).

The perspectives available to choose from are:
- The IPCC and UNFCCC
- The Australia Government and its Agencies
- Climate Skeptics and the Media
- Economics
- Developing Countries
- A Christian Perspective

I know I'm definitely doing the Climate Skeptics/Media and Developing Countries... tossing up whether to pick the Government perspective or the Christian perspective as the final one.

Mailman the 2nd

Not to be disrespectful, but the Christian viewpoint is pretty shallow on climate change.

Government would be more interesting, considering pressure from businesses and lobby groups and such

Yeah, I know. I was just going through the readings and stuff that we had and there's little to nothing on the Christian viewpoint, almost as if it was thrown in there as an afterthought or just for the sake of bringing it up.

I'll have to read into the Government perspective a bit more, haven't really looked too much into it and I don't really care for Government/politics related stuff as well. Although, with all the info here, getting 250 words together shouldn't be overly challenging.

Yeah i guess 250 words doesn't really have a meaningful impact anyway.

Not big into economics Nige? :P

Nah, Eco isn't my thing. I try to avoid it if and when I can. :P

I just realised I can cut the Government perspective down to 200 words since I added a bit of extra stuff in the other part of this essay. ;D

If you were to choose from the Christian Perspective you could easily expand these thoughts out to 250 words.

God created man and placed him on earth to look after his creation.

Christians thus have a responsibility to care for the environment.

They must also by this law protect the environment in which they were placed,

40 words already.

understandbly im all about the economic opinion. with abit of research its easy to do.

the reason why its not going to be solved is simple ecnomics. The environment is a public good so everyone derives the benefit of making sure is is looked after the issue is nobody wants to pay for it as the beneift isnt just recieved from them, so its definately a cant someone else do it mentality.

realistically the only way for it to work is for it to be ecnomically viable, so the cost of renewable energies needs to be comparable to the cost fossil fuels.

I have graphs for this about basically the social cost is much higher than the ecnomic cost, companies are all about the ecnomic cost.

esentially you either have to reduce the ecnomic cost through research into renewable energy or somehow make the social cost be accounted for and thats where carbon tax/ eft comes in.

I'm considering changing one of my perspectives to Eco now thanks to Holz.  :P That's 142 plus I already have about 40-ish words to introduce my paragraph on perspectives which is roughly 180 meaning I only have to get another 70 then.  :P

I'm just putting it all together as a paragraph and editing it a bit to fix spelling mistakes and making it read a bit better where I see fit atm. But yeah, I will. Cheers.  :)

RANT: For Uni, I decided to watch these two lectures. Both of them hurt my brain, therefore I feel I should go out on the town tonight.

If you understand more than half of this (as I just barely managed to do), you are pretty damn clever in my book!

If anyone knows anything about climate scepticism, I'm all ears.
