I reckon I'd like and I'd be ok at law, its just a matter of getting into it! ::)

its tough to get into at the start, but if your doing well at university shouldnt be too dificult to transfer into. Law I wouldnt say is the most difficult subject but you have to put alot of effort into it. You cant bluff your way through it with intelegence like you can in other courses.

Considering I failed Accounting 100 (terrible lack of effort) I don't think they'll be letting me into law anytime soon :P

I have a unit next semester called Business Law which I somehow got into so it should be interesting to see how much I enjoy that...

That linguistics thing looks sweet LH, but jobs afterwards is the issue ofc :-\

Stupid accounting course with stupid course work and even more stupid exams.

Anyone know any good courses that are worth studying please help :P
Engineering is good if you like maths ;)

economics is good if you like maths. Its similar to accounting so you should get credits, but its a real degree ;)
I'm talking real maths here, Holz. Thinks like calculus ;)

please, my friends do engineering. Their maths is easy, unless your doing aeronautical engineering than I agree with you. Get into Honours PHD level in Ecnometrics and your basically doing a maths degree.

we do Calculus by the way.
Aero and Chem eng are very mathsy. Others *cough*civil*cough* aren't maths at all. Didn't realise Eco was so mathsy but our maths isn't really easy (although I find it pretty straightforward because I'm a nerd that's doing a maths degree as well...)

yeah my firends bag out civil, too. Depends what are your in, but yeah Civil and Mech was below my level of maths by a long way

Econs is super mathematical the more you get into it. My maths isnt as good as it should be so im , Im planning on doing a masters in applied statisitcs from the mathematics deparmtnet to bring me up to scratch.
ppfffffftttftftt

do electrical

imaginary numbers ftw (or ftl, I'm undecided at present)

i know people who do electircal, imaginary numbers arent that bad.

try Nth dimensional theoretical mathematics.

in most cases yes, but there are some good courses in arts that arent avilable in any other degree.

My teacher got sick and went to hospital just after exams so he hasn't marked one of my assessments worth 20% or my exam which is annoying big time. All I'm searching for is a pass so I'm pretty confident but he's finally out of hospital and still way behind on marking which is annoying.

I'd feel more sorry for him if he wasn't such a hard ass, mind you I don't know what was wrong with him.

Ziplock

yeah, I still haven't gotten one of my marks back :(

Don't bag Arts, I am doing it :P. Given, also doing Economics ;). If you love writing, essays, history and stuff, Arts could be a good options although have to do further study beyond basic degree for jobs. Law may suit you for the essay stuff but as Holz said, need to put in alot of effort into it. Since you're doing Bus Law next sem, can see how things go and if you like it.

Anyone have much experience in changing courses? Is it easy? Are they generous with the credits they give you?
Changing within your Uni is alot easier I've heard/seen than changing Unis altogether. Given, all require paperwork but easier to do for internal transfer. I remember a friend changed from Science to Sci/Eng and all the electives he did first year in Science (Psych and Jap) he couldn't get credit points transferred as didn't fit into his new degree :(. Although all of his science subjects he did transferred credit points. So depends on what degree you're changing into, if it's similar then should get majority of the credit points transferred. And to transfer internally, they forget about your ATAR and go off your marks in Uni. Most courses require like a 70-75 average to transfer to another one, with a HD average of like 80+ usually being enough to get into the course you want (besides like BioMed).

I'm thinking of changing to Com/Arts, and since I already do Economics, majority of my subjects should transfer over to the Com degree to possibly already completed an Eco major. If you are planning to change direction completely, probably won't get as many transferred :P.

Gotta love it when your lecturer says results will be out 'shortly' and it's been 2 days and still no results..
