I'm back at Monash for another year, doing my Honours in Economics. 5th year yay... But may be in a few clubs and hopefully survive an 8:30am lecture every Thursday :P.

Do you like Dodgeball? Are you free on Fridays? Then do I have the place for you :P.

Friends and I have made an official Monash Dodgeball page which basically is being run from last season but moreso by us this time around rather than staff. Basically we meet up at Monash Sports Centre in Clayton and play dodgeball for a few hours. Next Friday is 12-4 (can come and leave whenever) and then 12-2 for the Fridays after that during semester. It's free and a different sort of sport for those who would like to try it :).

Can always give out more details if people want, we even have a Facebook page as well for it. Somehow they even got a stall at O-week for promoting the social group, so anybody who got into Monash, I may be around there if you see it :P.

Inbetween a 5 session data program lessons (for R) I have running during O-week yay.

 :-X Yeah they book the courts for us but usually move us to spare courts unless they were also booked prior (as it was a weekly thing run by the Sports Centre).

Dodgeball is one of the great things in life, shame it is daylight hours and I assume 18+ like all dodgeball groups seem to be.

Nope, not 18+! I brought my 14 year old nephew to our last event and I know a friend who brought his brother who was in VCE a few events ago.

But yeah it's run from 12-4 next Friday and 12-2 the Fridays after, which class with high school times sadly :(. But we do have some events during holidays, unless you get a day of before then ;).

I've looked far and wide for anywhere to play dodgeball and have encountered some sort of restrictions each time.

No problems :). Yeah, my friend keeps trying to talk me into going and joining a league with him, but they are night ones and transport back (and money for it weekly) is a pain at the moment :(. Hopefully you can make it along as it's usually a nice place to meet new people and get active, and chuck balls at others >:D.

Man, I'm actually interested but I'll have Uni on Fridays and getting to Monash from ACU might be tricky.

Though I should mention class is 10-11 and 11-1 but I'm not planning on going to the 2 hour lecture so getting to Clayton on time could be doable.  8)

I need to get active and make more friends, so it might be worth looking into.

2 hours and 37 minutes left and I'm still messing around with my units :/ I just can't be happy with what I'm doing haha, somebody kill me

Every unit either sounds bad, has bad hours (early as/late as/clashes), or has a group assignment except for a couple :/

On the upside Jukesy, at least you have options :P. All 6 of my lectures are auto-allocated and one is at 8:30am :'(. I'm sure you'll find the right mix of good ones, but hard to avoid them all in the later year units.

Tutoring some classes in first year Business Statistics as well 8).
