Thanks lads, still a bit cut. I'll be right in 24 hours though.

34 in Bus Man
31 in English
29 in both Further and VCD
26 in Psych

Was hoping for high 30s - low 40s for Bus Man and English (especially considering my practice exam for English would have been like 38/39...). Also surprised by Psych, thought I might get 30-35.

The ATAR isn't high enough to even compare to any of the clearly-ins for 2012 of any of my preferences, but I did list the Diploma or Tertiary Studies at Monash (Berwick and Peninsula) as an option and that doesn't require an ATAR and is more of an alternative pathway to get into the field one wants.

Basically, I'm looking at my options now and hoping I can still get into Primary Education at ACU.
I have a friend that did that in 2011 and she really enjoyed it. She is now studying Psychology like she wanted to. It'll all work out for you if you put your mind to it. Don't fell discouraged. Good luck with offers.

In a massive swerve, Nigel Saldanha plans to change his last 6 preferences to Management-related courses  :o I figured that since I did well in Business Management, I may as well put some of them down in case I end up getting into it. And besides, the scores to get into them are slightly lower too. :P That and I've been told I've got good leadership skills and could make a decent entrepreneur. ::)
im not sure how those scores work, are they out of 50?? I also didnt do well when i did my year 12 exams, but have had to work my ar$e off since. All i can suggest is that you get into something that you enjoy doing and always keep learning. The day you stop learning, is the day you get bored with your job, you wont give 100% and will lose focus

the scores are out of 50, but they are distributed in a bell curve. 30 is the midpoint score (half the students get more than 30, half less than 30 in any one subject) but to get a 40, you have to be in the top 8%. So it is reasonably easy to get 30s in subjects, but very hard to get 40s or higher

But yeah, went into school today and had a chat with my counsellor and careers counsellor. Basically, I've changed my preferences. Now I'm looking at doing Arts at wherever (most likely ACU) and then once I've finished that, doing a Diploma of Education so that I can be qualified for teaching.  8)

I got a 38 in Outdoor Education.
Did shower all study so I'm happy :P

Congrats to everybody who finished Year 12 this year. Great achievement and you should all be proud of yourselves.. Good luck with your Uni courses!

Nige

Hope people got into the courses they wanted.  :)

I didn't get my first preference, but it was always going to be highly unlikely. (Although, I found out the clearly-in was 62.45 and I got 61.45...sigh)

Got my second preference - Arts at Australian Catholic University and I'm quite happy with that.

Yeah I'm interested in that too, doing year 12 this year. I'm guessing 85-90ish? Could be wrong. Congratulations on getting your first preference  :)

13Brummy

Mining Engineering at Adelaide Uni fellas, pretty pumped!

Anyone else studying there?

CrowsFan

So how are all my fellow uni students finding exams at the moment? How many do you have? How many to go? Or are you lucky enough to have already finished?

I have in total 8 exams! Completed 5 so 3 more to go still and I am pretty much dead on my feet. This week consists of an exam every single motherflippin day! :o
