Geez with the tragedy of John MaCarthy, the stupidity of Aaron Edwards and now this, it hasn't been a great off-season for the AFL considering it's still only October.

St Kilda's Jason Gram has been granted bail after appearing in court accused of breaching an intervention order.

Police allege Gram sent 98 text messages and 16 Facebook messages to a woman, reportedly his ex-girlfriend, who had an intervention order out against him.

The Moorabbin Magistrates Court was told Gram was charged in September with two counts of breaching an intervention order and bailed on his own undertaking.

He continued to contact the woman after he was bailed.

Gram was arrested last night and remanded in custody.

Police opposed bail saying they feared Gram will continue to contact the woman.

Gram is due to reappear in court on November 22.

Sad way to end a career. Sounds like he's got a few issues to deal with to get himself right.

Goddard & Gram starts to leave a short term hole for the Saints.
