Well clearly I am a Chelsea fan, but clearly I was joking as well.  ::)  That said, Bonetti is probably our greatest keeper of all time, so he did have some talent.

And I do know about other keepers from around the world, I'm not that naive.  If we're just rattling off names though then here are a few more.

Sepp Maier
Ricardo Zamora
Frantisek Planicka
Amadeo Carrizo
Jean-Marie Pfaff

So... Umm... Where does Danny Sturridge fit into this list?

Best keeper ever for me a tie between Banks, Shilton and Schmeichel.

Yashin is better than all of those, and by a long way.  Not sure how you can have a three way tie and not include him.

Not seeing much support for Beckham.. :o
On shear talent Beckham wouldn't make the top 50 players. But on marketing yourself he would be no. 1 and it also helps marrying a spice girl.

Yashin is the only keeper to win the Ballon D'or not sure about being better than Banks but would be close to one of the top 5 keepers should be in the top 10 easily

Close to top five?  Lol.  The guy is the greatest keeper to ever walk this earth.  You said it yourself, he's the only keeper to ever win the Ballon D'or, so that in itself is saying something.  Oh yeah, and...

1960: USSR Goalkeeper of the year
1963: USSR Goalkeeper of the year
1963: European Footballer of the Year
    1963: Ballon d'Or
1966: USSR Goalkeeper of the year
    1967: Order of Lenin
    1986: Olympic Order
    1988: FIFA Order of Merit
2000: FIFA World Keeper of the Century
    2003: Golden Player of Russia

But yeah, close to the top five and should sneak into the top ten.  ::)

Don't rate Yashin in the same way I don't rate Pele; neither have played for major clubs in major leagues. Yashin spent his whole career playing in Russia while Pele played mostly in Brazil (half his alledged goals were the the Sao Paolo league ffs). Internationals mean little as they only needed to concentrate on internationals to prove themself while not needing to concentrate on club as much as they played against weak opposition.

Just because you don't chase money to go play for a big club doesn't mean you aren't talented.  Lots of players played for the one club back in those days.  It was just the way it was.  And to say internationals don't count is a silly thing to say.  Playing in the world cup against literally the best players in the world (not only at the time, but ever) is more than enough proof for me.

I respect your opinion, but when it comes to the greatest goalkeepers there's no contest.  Yashin was an absolute beast.  The ones you mentioned are all class too, but they're simply battling for second spot.

Yeah just look at Jamie Harnwell. He played for Glory his whole career and he's up there as one of the best players in the world ;)

I didn't say everyone who stays at one club their entire career is world class.  ::)

If he came to Liverpool he'd soon be up there   :P

He has 6 league games, 2 champions league games and at least one copa del rey game to score the 10 goals needed to pass Muller. Would say he should do it pretty easily unless he gets injured...
