I have left out any current players as I Believe that it would be easier to reflect on those whom have finished their careers.

Gotta be Pele for me followed by Maradonna.

He's not the best player of all time, but one I've always admired is Lothar Matthäus.  Absolute beast of a player.

Why isn't George Best there?? He is my favourite player since I was a kid watching the English 1st Division in the early 70's.

Went Puskas, could have gone Cruyff or Best easily though.

Puskas was just a boss. 84 goals in 85 internationals for Hungary, 370 in 350 in Hungary then 240 in 260 at Madrid. Lead his Hungarian team to 5 titles, then Madrid to 5 titles and 3 european cups. Also won a few cups as manager I believe.

^ That's just off the top of my head, sure he's done some more.

Yashin and Di Sephino are goalkeepers and should be on a seperate poll. Yashin I heard in the 60's was the best apparently.

Cicjose

Puskas averaged 96 goals in every 100 appearances for club and country

358 appearances for Budapest 374 goals

262 appearances for Real Madrid 242 goals

85 appearances for Hungary 84 goals

4 appearances for Spain 0 goals

or

Di Stefano who averaged 79 goals in every 100 appearances for club and country

66 appearances for River Plate 49 goals

24 appearances for Huracan 11 goals

102 appearances for Millonarios 90 goals

282 appearances for Real Madrid 216 goals

47 appearances for Espanyol 11 goals

6 appearances for Argentina 6 goals

4 appearances for Columbia 0 goals

31 appearances for Spain 23 goals

Lionel Messi cannot be far away from making that list.

Cicjose

Lionel Messi is no where near the class of Puskas or Di Stefano

Peter Bonnetti wan't he the oldest player to go round with his grey hair. He made Richard Gere look like a kid. Your obviously a Chelsea fan otherwise you wouldn't make such a ridiculous statement. Where a bit tainted in Australia as we have the EPL shoved down our throat so do not know about other keepers around.
Gordon Banks, Dino Zoff, Peter Scmiechal, Peter Shilton, Oliver Khan, Pat Jennings, just to name a few.
