Better, but i would have bock in for Docherty, i dont think Docherty will play R1

Not entirely sure whether Bock will either. I'm doing my research and exploring other potential options if neither make it to their respective team's R1 side.
agree, i also like what i am reading about Jaksch

Bock might miss the first month or something, but definitely becomes and option after that. I'm trying to learn as much about these rookies as I can to know which ones are the ones to pick. Finding out what each team is after and if they'll slot into the side's 22 straight away will make all the difference. Jaksch is one I've read a bit about, hopefully goes full cash cow for fantasy's sake. ::)

With the structure change and DPP announcements, I've changed things a bit. Here's the new look.

Thanks mate. As per usual, I think a lot of teams may be similar. There are some players coaches just must have.

I understand that there will be many of these, and that people will be doing their own, but this is my first attempt for the year with SC actually open as opposed to the ones I've been doing in FanPlanner.

- DEF: The only two I'm iffy about here are the rookies; Goodes and Colquhoun. The rest I'm happy to start with, might play around and see what other options and combinations are possible for those two spots. Obviously will be following the NAB Cup with genuine interest.

- MID: The premiums are pretty standard I'd say and it's hard to go past them, but each to their own. Priddis may be the one I could change. I like him and he's a POD most weeks. The rookies are my problem. Croouch, O'Meara and Viney are locks, but it's the Port duo of Wines and Mitchell that have me wondering whether it's worth getting someone else in their place, perhaps Lonergan who seems a less popular option currently.

- RUC: Pretty standard I would think, the Goldstein/Leuenberger combination will feature in a lot of teams I would think, so would the bench options in Currie and Grundy. At this stage, I'm almost happy to set and forget this line.

FWD: No doubting it's the weakest with only 3 premiums. Two comeback picks in Varcoe and Macaffer. I believe both are worthy of spots in their respective 22s and should feature. Mature age recruit, Tom Lee is a pick that should work out. Quality forward, should get the ball a bit this season, points coming his way. I expect Stringer to feature, he's probably better than Grant and Jones from the Dogs. Hartman's the interesting pick. Been hearing good things about him, think he can do well, but cracking the Geelong forward line with Stokes, Christensen, Varcoe...even Smedts could be a task. Watching his NAB Cup very closely.

Overall: Feel like it's not bad and quite sound but looking at it, that forward line could be my downfall. To overcome this issue, I think the best thing to do is drop a premium in my midfield. That would be one of Pendlebury, Cotchin or Murphy for someone cheaper. While I may cop a bit of flak for this, Monfries is one I'm considering, Luke Ball  and Clinton Young are both being considered as well. I will most likely drop one of Wines or Mitchell for Lonergan and use whatever money is left to dispose of Hartman and bring in a premium forward or a midpricer like Siposs who I think could be a unique pick.

Thoughts please anyone? Constructive criticism would be very much appreciated.

Nice team Nigey - really like it

B: Good safe premium picks with Goddard and Gibbs. Like the Birchall and Broughton picks too, a bit unique but are both set for big years. Rookie selections are fine

M: Nice structure with the 5prems. All premium choices are solid - I'm steering away from Murphy until he can prove he can handle a tag as he will be copping the no.1 every week. Priddis is a unique pick, havent seen him in too many teams but is always a solid performer - very consistent. Good rookie selections.

R: Perfect - nothing to say really

F: Cox is a bit too old to pay that price tag IMO there are better options. I'm not sold on Varcoe, watch pre-season form. Wouldnt go either Macaffer ot Hartman. Maybe get Docherty in your backs and put Staker as a fwd benchie?

Solid team. 8/10

Backs:

- Goddard, Gibbs, Birchall and Broughts all good premo/potential premo picks (With Broughton coming fairly cheap)

- Good structure

- All good rookie picks, just beware of Goodes and Colq getting games (One can be used as the loophole for emergency and captaincy loopholes)

Midfield:

- Ablett, Pendles, Cotchin, Murphy and Priddis are once again all great picks, Priddis being fairly unique

- All great rookie choices

- Good structure

Rucks:

- Goldy and Leuy can generate good amounts of cash, while also scoring well so good choices there

- Grundy and Currie will both push for game time, so good picks

Forwards:

- Franklin too overpriced for me, will score well as usual though

- Cox, Rocky and Franklin all good premos

- Like the pick of Varcoe as he could score well and generate good amounts of cash

- Forwardline looks a little too weak

- Good rookies, like Hartman but think he will struggle for gametime

i would go broughts to maybe a yarran?
and varcoe to dusty or someone in that range.
if that fits in your cap

the reason i say this is its going to be easier to upgrade you backs down the line as the best backs are cheaper then the best forwards.
also having yarran averaging probably 85 is better then varcoe getting 75 and especially considering a forward keeper might average 105-110 and a defense keeper will only average 95-100

so your effectively swapping the gap between varcoe and a forward keeper (75/105) to yarran and a defensive keeper (85/95)

also yarran has more potential of being a keeper in defence then varcoe does of becoming a keeper in the fwd line. i reckon yarran could average upwards of 90.

ok that was hard to try and explain and i dont know if i actually made sense. so let me know what you think haha

id love your feedback on my team. http://www.fanfooty.com.au/forum/index.php/topic,71036.0.html

Cheers man, I'll explore the options and fiddle with it.

I'll check out your team soon. Tonight, if not tomorrow.
