Haven't played this game yet, but will want to try it out in 2013. I feel like i can adapt to the scoring system etc.. well as I enjoy those nitty gritty stats (well, don't all fantasy coaches haha)

KnockingOnTheDoor Fanplanner squad in the Super Coach competition coached by SilkySkils. Salary cap left: $192,600.

Brendon Goddard, Pearce Hanley, Troy Chaplin, Dyson Heppell, Nathan Bock, Lachlan Plowman, Tom Clurey
Jack Hutchins, Sam Colquhoun

Gary Ablett jnr, Dane Swan, Joel Selwood, Ryan Griffen, Troy Menzel, Jordan Gysberts
Brad Crouch, Jaeger O'Meara

Todd Goldstein, Matthew Leuenberger
Brodie Grundy, Majak Daw

Lance Franklin, Taylor Walker, Tom Hawkins, David Zaharakis, Robbie Gray, Mark LeCras, Travis Varcoe
Sam Mayes, Brent Staker

A couple of points:
Backline rookies: Hutchins and Clurey i don't know much about, just picked them as one is 1st round priced and the other rookie priced.
Ryan Griffen: Time for him to step up. The Bulldogs won't be strong, but he'll overtake Boyd this year.
Rucks: No Nic Nat doesn't feel right, although the Points per dollar value on Goldstein and Leuenberger i couldn't ignore. The benches gone with one rookie priced, and one first rounder as per the backs.
Three talls up front: If all aviod injury/suspension (which I beleive they can do) then lots of goals coming their way and the SC points will be through the roof.

Rate, critise, admire do whatever guys, i'm easygoing and will take everything in good heart. :)

Don't think you've done much wrong here mate, not sure youll fit it under the salary cap however once the prices come out i'd keep that in mind.

Nice looking team! Just a few things that I reckon could improve it:

I wouldn't pick Chaplin. He won't be playing the same role at Richmond and I believe will be our number 1 key defender while Rance will play a more rebounding and attacking role and for $5k cheaper would rather Rance. Or you could save some money and pick Broughton or Suckling.

I am not sure about Griffen. I know you think he will step up this year and won't be surprised if he did, but I reckon you would be better of paying a little extra for a gun midfielder. But if you think he will do really well this year them he will be a great unique.

Hawkins is a bit inconsistent and you would be better of picking a forward who wins a lot of the ball like S.Johnson, Pearce, Bennell, Wright, Robinson or Martin.

But other than that I like your team.
Midfielders are strong and I really like your rucks.
Also the rookies and mid prices (Bock and LeCras) look like good choices ATM.

Yeah, that'll be a shame when the real stuff comes out haha.

You're the Tigers fan, i'll take your word for it. I think now that Brougthon has been traded i'll put him in. :-\

Sorta flowing off the first reply it'll struggle to stay under the cap, so upgrading him may look good atm, but no difference when the real stuff comes out. :)

Yeah, he's a bit of a risk, I'll probably cull him. Just that the other forwards don't feel convincing. :-\

I am not saying you should get rid of Hawkins or Griffen. Its your team you can do whatever you want! They should both be good uniques, but I just thought there where better players for a little extra.

I definitely agree with the bolded bit. You pay more for the better player: fact. Where i am coming from is "points per dollar" if Hawkins can play slightly above his value, it's a win. :) And yes, they are uniques, something i like to do early (will probably chicken out though, only had one unique last season which failed miserably).

As for Griffen, i just, have a feeling i guess. haha

Well uniques are pretty valuable if they do well.
I started with Rory Sloane, Pearce Hanley, Matt Priddis and Steele Sidebottom and I finished in the top 500 overall.
So if you pick the right uniques it will really help and like what you said points per dollar
