Port Adelaide receive Jack Hombsch & Jake Neade (North Ballarat Zone Selection)

GWS receive pick 29

Trading out a highish pick for two alright, young players it looks like. Good trade?

Capper

Not a bad get for Port. Hombsch has some height for a back but the fact that he played the first 6 and then didnt see him for a while is a worry. If you cant get a game for GWS then who can you get a game with?? obviously Port!!

Any link for this?

Seems like a good trade for them, they receive a young promising key defender in Hombsch and a player who was named in the U18 All Australian team this year. Anyone know what position Neade plays?? I'm guessing he plays forward considering he scored 19 goals in 12 games in the TAC Cup...

I had Neade going at pick 42 so I think Port has done alright with that deal. Hard tackling midfield/forward.

He averaged 12.4 disposals, 1.6 goals and 5 tackles a game this season.

Hmmm, Hombsch will get game time as the 3rd tall (replacing Chaplin) so he'd be happy knowing that more 1st team time is on offer.

Can't get a link if I get the information before the AFL website ::)

And once again my sources are correct.

Sure they are

aces-high

Power have done really well there!! Dont think they are as bad as everyones bags them for. There is plenty to work with in the likes of Hartlett, Boak, Brad Ebert, Broadbent, Gray, Wingard, Butcher, Shultz and Cornes and Cassisi who are still playing great footy!

Ricochet

Yeh i like this, Power have gained some quality kids
win - win for both teams

really good move by Pt imo, Hombsch will be the goods

valkorum

On paper this looks like a good deal for Port

Ziplock

that's a great trade for port.

is hombsch an adelaide boy who wanted out? if not I have no idea why we traded him. If it was just for pick stacking, I'm going to start agreeing with tbag...

Pretty Hombsch is from Adelaide and must have wanted to come back home I rate Hombsch and it's a good get for the Power after losing Chaplin!

He played with Wingard at Sturt. He'll be a good player, solid build for his age, should develop nicely. Neade however is who I'm excited about. I saw a highlight package of him playing, he's like a mix of Rodan and Milne with a defensive game! He's tiny but he looks the goods and gets massive wraps for being a great kid. He brings down guys a foot taller than him in a tackle!
