Firstly, like to welcome myself to the forum, had a little look around before making my first post. (So many places on here, didn't know where to start) I hope to stick around for a while. :) I played DreamTeam last season and did well, coming top 30 thousand. Want to improve on that for 2013. :)

JBs-Hawks

Welcome to the forums mate.

Get rid of hurn, ibbotson, McKenzie, moloney, Schulz and petterd. Plenty of better players out there.
Have a look at other teams on here for ideas on players to replace them with.

Mr.Craig

Welcome Silky. :)

As JB suggested you have gone way too mid-priced. All good and well picking guys like Gray, LeCras and the likes who are significantly discounted and have the potential to score well but you don't want too many middle-of-the-road scorers clogging up your team. I was just heading off to bed but I'll give you some more specific suggestions tomorrow.

JBs-Hawks

Off the top of my head without crunching numbers

Turn hurn and ibbotson into birchall/heppell and a rookie

McKenzie and moloney into either Murphy or pendles (or swan/gaj if affordable I think everyone needs at least one) and omeara

Schulz and petterd into a forward premo of your choice and a rookie.

Jukes

Gave you your first cheer mate for having the STANTONATOR

Could be cleaned up here and there but overall a solid side for somebody new to FF.

Capper

Welcome Mate.

Personally i wouldnt have Zac as R1 either

;) Ok, bit of favouritism there i'll admit.

Haha, hopefully Stants can play more than half a good season this time.

cheers. :) I'm hoping his 3rd year there's a big improvement. :\

I've fiddled around with my team, making the changes you guys have suggested. :)

KnockingOnTheDoor Fanplanner squad in the Dream Team competition coached by SilkySkils. Salary cap left: $159,300.

Brendon Goddard, Jack Grimes, Bryce Gibbs, Dyson Heppell, Jarrod Harbrow, Nathan Bock, Lachlan Plowman
Jasper Pittard, Sam Docherty

Dane Swan, Trent Cotchin, Brent Stanton, Andrew Swallow, Jimmy Toumpas, Troy Menzel
Jaeger O'Meara, Jack Viney

Todd Goldstein, Matthew Leuenberger
Brodie Grundy, Majak Daw

Lance Franklin, Danny Stanley, Matthew Wright, Ricky Petterd, Robbie Gray, Mark LeCras, Travis Varcoe
Brent Staker, Tim Membrey

Whilst making changes, i noticed that i didn't want any of the fwd premiums apart from Buddy. They are all getting old. Is it just me or are will the forward line be weaker than teh other lines?

JBs-Hawks

Forwards you could consider Robinson, zaha, Lewis and Martin

Zaha would be my number 1 choice of them. :\ Will Lewis keep his forward eligibility? I'll consider if he does.

Oh, and i'm not worrying about byes at all, was a waste trying to work around them last season.

Mr.Craig

Good stuff, your second effort is much better. :) Maybe turn Wright into Rocky if he gets DPP.

PowerBug

Cheers Mr. Craig. Still feel very iffy with my forwards, they don't 'feel' right somehow.

Mr.Craig

Most people's forward lines don't look particularly good atm. Once we know the DPP's and good rookie choices they will come together a bit better.

Love your inclusion of Andy Swallow mate!

Love him as a player but don't know if I'm ballsy enough to take him over Pendles as M4 this year...

But the second team you put up in this thread is looking very nice, as Mr. Craig said, I would be trying to fit Rocky/Dusty/Zaha in there if possible.

Barra17

I like Matthew Wright in the forwards. He could have a big, big year next year. Has showed some real promise late this year.

PowerBug

Cheers guys. :D Swallow is another one of my favourite players. And Wright did finish 2012 very well, hoping it can continue. :X

I'll probably leave my team there until the Fanplanner gets updated or when the official positions come out. :)
