Daniel Hannebery is a SuperCoach gun in the making and with Goodes, O’Keefe, Bolton and McVeigh all ageing, Hanneberry is there future for the Swans and will be expected to lead the midfield with Kennedy, Jack and Jetta in the coming years. The 2010 Rising Star Winner has scored well over the last 3 years with season averages of 83,84 and 82. Hannebery stepped up in the big games for the Swans this year, scoring a huge 141 in the GF after 118 the week before, taking his 2012 Supercoach Final Series Average to 109.

Hannbery has a big ceiling with 4 scores over 120 (not including finals) but he definitely needs to add some consistency to his game before you think about picking him in your SuperCoach side. Hanneberry had 5 scores under 50 which shows he can go missing in some games. But with another pre season under his belt Hanneberry should continue to improve in 2013 and add some consistency to his game. Hanneberry has shown he is durable not missing a game since 2010.

So I am expecting a big 2013 from Hanneberry and at around $435k is pretty cheap for the potential he has. I believe he can increase his average by over 30 points this year and to average over 100 for the first time in his career.

2013 Supercoach Point Average Prediction: 100-105

colmullet

does have some serious potential to be a gun, not sure i would be jumping on this year though

Adamant

He's a gun player, but cant see him being in that top bracket of midfielders yet.

Shihan7

Was close to BOG in the GF, but not ready to be an SC gun just yet.

quinny88

One of the next generation mids coming through at Sydney. Will be a SC gun but not untill some of the older boys retire

He's got huge potential, similar to Steele Sidebottom last year, outstanding finals series and about to break out into one the guns of the comp. He'll be in my side.
great write up too :)

Agree with you Shorty and thanks for that!  :)

My Chumps

If he wasn't just a pure mid I'd be all over him, but it's too risky to be taking a punt on a mid-pricer in the mids.

Add that to the fact that I'll be starting with JPK in 2013, and it's a no for Hanners, even though I love him and he should average 100ish.

yeh fair call, it is the type of price that is very risky, but i'll back him in. After his grand Final performance I can really see him making big steps forward.

Love the way Hanners goes about it. He will be a perfect direct replacement for ROK in the next few years and that is when he will move from midfield gun to SC gun.

I was close to picking him at the start of the year. He's been super so far this year!
Did anyone pick him?

doogz

Nah, a few did in my league though.. lucky.

I was hoping shuey would have the same type of breakout... except the eagles are shower this year :(

hannebery2rohan

Never really considered him to be honest. Well done to the ones that went with him though. Still think consistency between he best and worst works against him as a top end premium goes. But even then, a lot of the ones that are generally reliable as far as consistency goes are struggling a bit this year. (Watson, JPK, Selwood, Swan etc...)

I did! The thing that really convinced me was his finals series last year, is always a good indicator for things to come
