WEST Coast midfielder Koby Stevens is believed to have signalled his intention to join the Western Bulldogs.

The 21-year-old Victorian, who played 11 games in three seasons with the Eagles, chose the Bulldogs as his new home after considering offers from Essendon and St Kilda.

A deal will now have to be negotiated during Gillette AFL Trade Period.

Fanplanner has him at 175k, if he does land at Footscray will people pick him up?
If he finally gets the opportunity to prove himself at the highest level I think he'll flourish. Will definitely keep an eye on him this preseason.

Surely if he goes to the dogs its because he is guaranteed game time in the best 22??

Koby Stevens is officially a Bulldog.

Quote
THE WESTERN Bulldogs have snared former West Coast midfielder Koby Stevens in exchange for pick 44 at next month's NAB AFL Draft.

The 21-year-old Victorian, who played 11 games in three seasons with the Eagles, last week chose the Bulldogs as his intended destination after considering offers from Essendon and St Kilda.

For #44 I think he's a steal. Great addition for the Dogs.

exactly my thought sid. Great pick up for the dogs- libba, stevens, wallis, great youngsters to build a team around. If they can grab a decent key forward, I'm tipping them to be up with gc and gws when they peak.

+1 good work from the Doggies. Koby will fit straight into their midfield!

Time to sack all the Bulldogs recruiting staff, these midfielders might be very good but you don't win premierships with 22 midfielders, had a real chance to get some key players, even a ruck, and they only got Stringer and then more mids :o

honestly dont understand their strategy :S

We had a shortage of mids in 2012. We had to play Sherman and Djerkurra some weeks and they are not AFL quality!

Key position players and ruckmen take time and we are going to persevere with Stringer, Jones, Cordy, Roughead, Talia, Roberts and Campbell. They're all 22 or under and we don't need to clog the list up with more key position players.

The key position players in this year's draft crop aren't that great anyway. Jaksch is probably the best and he can't mark properly. Biding our time so we can try to nab Thomas Boyd next year makes more sense than drafting a C-grade KPP.
