Avatar was a pathetic movie only thing that saved it from complete failure were the graphics the storyline used has been flogged to death was very predictable.

agreed movie itself very average but i rate it but probably one of the best movie experiences I have had, up there with the first 3D movie I saw.

Ok, so this is basically my shortlist:
Breakfast Club
Dark Knight
500 Days of Summer (yes, mostly because of Zooey Deschanel)
Shawshank
Inception
Lion King
Up
Hercules
Die Hard (Mostly 1 and 3)
Lethal Weapon
Taken (well, Liam Neeson's badass speech)
Alexander Nevsky (Look it up on Rotten Tomatos)
BACK TO THE FUTURE
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Lawrence of Arabia
Sound of Music
Space Jam
The Boat That Rocked

Ok, I feel that I've kinda bared my soul to you guys...

Exactly, it was an incredible movie experience that's why its up there. Also I'm the guy that doesn't like animated or futuristic films so why would I rate Avatar.

Avatar wasn't as good as other rate, but it is the number one box office grossing film by over 600 million and it currently sits at about 2.7 billion dollars.

So you might not rate, but the rest of the world does.

that's a crap theory people going to see it does not mean they thought it was good or put it amongst the best movies they have ever seen they got pulled in by the publicity and the wow factor it has which distracts you from how shower the movie really is

Can't argue with the number mate. They aren't in it for the quality, just the $$$

And it also got a 8/10 on imdb

Cicjose

Avatar was one of the worst movies i saw in 2009 and i saw it twice in cinemas

kilbluff1985

8/10 for the highest grossing movie made is not really something to brag about

Titanic only got 7.6/10 so yeah Avatar was rated higher and hence the higher grossing ::)
