Richmond will start the season against Carlton once again in the second week of a split opening round on Thursday 28th March at the MCG

What are peoples thoughts?
I was personally hoping for an easier start to the season for a change. Hate starting on the back foot every year. Carlton will no doubt be fired up and very hard to beat once again.

Surely we can knock the scumbags off for once though!

As long as that game isnt followed by a bunch of other top 6 teams like it has been the past couple of years

This is how rough we have had it..
First 4 games over the past 4 years

2009 (where the team we played eventually finished)
1.Carlton (7th)
2.Geelong (2nd)
3.W.Bulldogs (3rd)
4.Melbourne (16th)

2010
1.Carton (8th)
2.W.Bulldogs (4th)
3.Sydney (5th)
4.Melbourne (12th)

2011
1.Carlton (5th)
2.St.kilda (6th)
3.Hawthorn (3rd)
4.Collingwood (1st)

2012
1.Carlton (10th.. Were almost flag favourites at this stage)
2.Collingwood (4th)
3.Melbourne (16th)
4.Geelong (6th)

Most of those years got worse, particularly 2012.
By round 10 we had played every top 8 club from the season before.

This year PLEASE give us a fair start!

I reckon that we are well overdue for a win over the blues.
