Bret Thornton is set to be picked up the GWS tomorrow as a unrestricted Free agent.

Good choice or not?

Yeah, I think a good move for them. He's not a long term prospect, but gives them another big bodied, match hardened bloke out there to bring on the kids. With McDonald, Brogan and Power going they need that kind of experienced player.

Mailman the 2nd

Personally I don't seem him as a great option for GWS.

I may be dead wrong, but he just seems like his althetisicm for his height isn't at a good enough standard. He's the sort of player that doesn't really fit into the modern day playstyles of AFL

Capper

well he will help them down back as they need a tall body down the back but his mobility is the issue

Ziplock

I think it's fine- he's only been selected to chew up a bit of salary cap for a while, and to provide an older body/ experienced player.

Mailman the 2nd

He'd be a useful backman for them actually now I think about it

Surprised GC havent got in any tall backs this trade period. Bock needs help

Gilham is coming to the GC so no need for Thornton who is a one year player.
