Interesting news here on Brodie Grundy

Apparently its a toss up between Lachie Plowman and Troy Menzel for Pick 3, why they are even considering passing Grundy is beyond me when they need to bolster ruck stocks

:o !!!

You'd think they'd be crazy to pass him up after letting Broges go but maybe they're happy with Giles and Tippo probably as a back up...

I would be bloody happy to have him at the tiges!

nup if he is still available at Pick 7 then Port will grab him, local talent and Port need a ruck more than anybody else. Will be great for DT if he goes to Port   ::)

yeah idk though, as the article said:

QuoteAt pick seven, Port Adelaide is likely to choose between Grundy and fellow South Australian Sam Mayes. Victorians Jackson Macrae and Kristian Jaksch will also come into contention at this selection.

The Power already has four players on their list at 200cm or more, although the 202cm Grundy is considered ready for senior action next year.

you guys are stupid. gws have said that they are going to trade in a ruckman from another club when they are a premiership chance. they don't want to develop one! they won't take Grundy. get it through your thick skulls you cretins.

jaksch is shower and isn't even worth a first round pick

why isn't corr in any of these lists? for a bunch of experts you don't know shower

hey mate, how about you stop being such a prick to everyone.

personally, as a giants supporter, I think we'll take grundy at 3.

but, nothing is certain until draft day.

so until then, dont be a dickhead until you're proven right.

Well, to me it looks like Plowman will go pick 3 and menzel has suddenly been pushed into the top 6 (to the dogs).

This will shake up the order a little and grundy should indeed fall to port...a steal but a move purely based on taking talent and not what they need - well, they do need some talent I suppose! Very surprised by this shake up.

Jaksch will go late first round/maybe early second round in my opinion.

As for Corr, I think he will go between picks 20-24 (Not to collingwood, depending on if Adelaide is stripped)

Lastly, no one here claims to be an expert. All we can give you is OUR opinion. You can agree or not agree, but you don't need to be aggressive about it, we are all doing this for fun and are allowed to be wrong.

Exactly Spite, we are all just giving our two cents worth. I'd be very surprised if anyone's phantom drafts turned out to be exactly bang on perfect, because none of us know what every single club is thinking do we?

As Tom said, go ahead, do your own phantom draft for us to have a look at. I'd love to know your opinions.

+1 all of this, could not have put it better

The reason I have Jaksch at 8 is because the Lions are apparently extremely keen on him and have locked him in if he is available. Plowman at 3 could mean Menzel and O'Rourke at 5 and 6; Grundy at 7; Jaksch at 8; and Mayes and Stringer to go 9 and 11 (as to what order I'm not sure)

If you read the bottom you'll see Corr on the "Ones to Watch" shortlist.. Those are the guys who could go first round but may just miss out on it. Not perfect by any stretch but I'm just doing my best   :)

AFL.com 9/11/12 -

Draft range: Given his standing as one of the few key-position players available at the top end of the draft, Jaksch will have a lot of clubs clamouring to pick him. He's probably going to be taken in No.8-No.14 range. If the Lions don't take him, Carlton would seem best placed to recruit Jaksch with pick 11 given its need for some key-position talent. The Giants, with picks 12 and 14, could also be interested in adding to their pool of key-position players.
