Name: Jeremy Cameron
Team: GWS Giants
Age as of round 1: 19
Height: 195cm
Weight: 87 kg
Games 2012: 16
Average 2012: 58.2
Low Score: Round 3, 19
High Score: Round 5, Round 9, 92

Summary: Cameron is definitely a beast, and there's very few people who would be stupid enough to deny it. That being said, despite being incredibly impressive as a first year key forward, he's incredibly dependent on the delivery of the ball to score well. And, considering GWS' young and still developing midfield, his delivery is pretty sub-par currently. On top of this, this year he was an 18/19 year old who constantly took the best defender- we're taking AA players like Glass, Richardsetc. and it really shows (19 vs WC, 39,27 vs sydney, 33 vs adelaide). Before he can really  crack a decent average, he needs to learn how to deal with these types of experienced players.

That being said, his delivery and experience should both increase this year, so I can see him pushing his average up slightly... if Patton emerges as the dominant key he was supposed to be though, we could see camerons average rocket.

Verdict: Pass, even a best case scenario probably won't see him push his average above high 60s. It's entirely probable he might even have a touch of the second year blues.
Predicted average: 65

Football Factory

Going to be a great player .. so hard to predict when these sorts of players will breakout

Adamant

Very impressive first season, but cant see him scoring overly well until about 2014-2015 when GWS start to dominate.

Spinking

Agree. Could be fantasy relevant in 2 - 3 years but not yet.

The year you pick Cameron as a viable DT option is the year you pick GWS to contend for a top 6 ladder position :)

so...

2013?

Personally I think no and a pretty confident no tbh.

The 2 highest averaging forwards in 2012 from bottom 10 teams were Zorko(9) and Stanley(11).

Not only is Cameron a much different player than both of these but his I just cannot see him reaching the scores you would need him to score for that price in 2013.

Will be a star no doubt, just cant see him being DT relevant for another 3+ years...
