Before the preseason/rookie draft - and you won't be able to pick any players from these drafts that would put you over.

It's like player cap rule Maca, no penalty as such, you just have to do it.
No worries. Last question, its based on the total score from 2012 yeah? not average?

Mediocrity Nails? Your team finished 4th last year

Anyways...

One trade failed - and only just

Trade 61 votes against: Boomz, c4v3m4n, Maca24, ossie85, Purple 77, pyronerd/Sid

Reasons against:
- Pavlich and Steve Johnson are premiums, trading 2 premiums for zero no matter how old they are is crazy.
- PNL wins trade by too much in long term
- Buenos Aires wins trade by too much in short term

Personal note - I thought this trade would get heaps of votes, and only just got voted down. Amazed me more when people said PNL won the trade :/

It was actually mine and BB's Clancee Pearce trade that was the controversial one. 5 people voted it down, 3 saying that Pearce isn't worth that much, 2 said that he was worth much more. At least with the Pav/Stevie J trade you could make a short term/long term argument! This one was directly contradictory lol

Other trading results!

Points Cap update:

Remember that 33,000 limit? Well, this is how it is looking after 3 trade weeks. These lists INCLUDE retirements and delistings, so don't panic too much if you are close to 33,000 (the total points your players scored in the 17 season matches)

Beijing - 24,126
Berlin - 25,871
Buenos Aires - 28,286
Cairo - 30,471
Cape Town - 26,877
Dublin - 23,934
London - 28,798
Mexico City - 35,960
Moscow - 27,324
New Dehli - 22,889
New York - 26,812
Pacific - 17,753
PNL - 29,801
Sao Paulo - 31,831
Seoul - 31,665
Tokyo - 31,351
Toronto - 31,318
Wellington - 29,482

So only Mexico City has something to worry about to get under 33,000. People seem very content to keep giving them another premiership :/
and there is the flaw in the system
i don't mind it got shot down if thats how coaches feel then fair enough i'm happy with how it is seen since i respect all the coaches involved but the one way the flaw is
as you said Oss how can we renegotiate with nails
with those two bolded reasons

so it was deemed unfair to us for losing such guns
yet on the other hand it was deemed unfair on nails for giving up the youngsters

kinda makes it hard to fix it doesn't it?

Why is a Coach being penalized for great list management? If a Coach is good enough to build a dynasty good luck to them I say!

Because it is the equivalent of a salary cap.

I agree aswell, even though im miles under the cap. Ossie runs the comp soo well though so Im fine with sticking to the rules set.

This is going to sound wrong of me but I always feel like I'm put at a disadvantage with the rules.
Eg. Squad numbers, Salary cap and the Trade Voting also tends to be harsher on the better teams.

Although I dont like the excuse of "making a team too strong" in negging a trade, I think it is just to make the competition more even and interesting. Im certain its nothing personal.

In a trade to shock the world

NYR Trades: Steven Verrier

BAA Trades: Pick 88 (ND)

Reasoning:

This is a really deep draft and I'm willing to sacrifice rookie listed players for low picks.

With no reasons, this trade won't go through. ;)

Plus if you reckon its a bargain, you're opening yourself up to a veto there. :P

Would you be able to show the differences between the first numbers (if you still have them and can be bothered) and these current ones? I'm sure there must have been some big changes and can give some sort of basis for predictions for next season.

Cheers if you are able to Os. :)

Sorry if I sound lazy, but I'm working all week and it's holidays. :(

meow meow

In the last 8 rounds he averaged 145 points per game.

Let's look at those numbers. 143, 162, 109, 144, 170, 166, 123, 146. Imagine if he was your captain.

Season high score of 175.

Missed round 1 and started the year slowly due to shin soreness in the preseason. Still managed to have the 4th best average in the competition. Imagine if he was fully fit from round 1.

Only 22 years old.

"What happens when Luke Ball comes back?" Well, Dayne is an outside midfielder, so that means even more possessions coming his way. Old Swannie got booted out of the midfield into the forward line because Beams is the new king.

Go on, have a crack.
