Mexico Trade: Nathan Foley and Pick 37

Wellington Trade: Scott Thompson

Reason: Foley averages 100 and is 27, Thompson 110 and is 30. Thompson is slightly more valuable so 37 evens this trade up. Need a higher scorer as my depth is fine. So will be a nice increase on the field. Pick 37 doesn't hold much value to me due to my short term needs.
confirmed, thompson getting old, foley is a few years younger but still averages well and wanted another pick

Wellington trade: Sam Butler to toronto for Rohan Bewick

Reason: Butler wasnt getting much of a game at the warriors and i can see him developing into a good young player so he will give me some depth

Confirmed

Reasoning: I have too many depth midfielders and not enough defenders, pot had signalled interest in this trade a while ago and I didn't need it, but after trading out Richards and Rivers and getting Cunners and Greenwood I thought it best to get another defender while I could.

AFEV

After a metric showerton of negotiations

NYR Trades:

33, Bastinac, Vince, Rischitelli, Horsley, Johnson with a T (Lewis Johnston)

Cairo Trades:

Bennell, Hogan, Crozier

Reasoning

Needed somebody to replace Saad at F4 and Bennell does that. I rate Hogan really highly and have been chasing him since the start of the trade period.
Crozier is forward depth for now, I expect him to play more in 2013 and really love the way he goes about it. Was one of my favourites in juniors so hopefully he goes on with it. Exceptional aerial abilities.

Vince, Rischa and Seahorse are all top players but they don't fit our youth policy so better off with guys like Bennell and Hogan. Unfortunate that we lost Basti and Johnston but have to give some to get some.

Pick 33...well we've taken the stance from the start that we don't rate picks, so that was just to push this over the line.

:o Big trade. Bennell and Basti future stars, the others are decent :P

Is it just me or is this another MASSIVE week of trades? Perhaps the biggest so far? :o :o

Confirmed. This was just too good an offer to refuse for the Sands. Although Bennell will be an absolute star, the guys we have got in return will be able to fill the void he is leaving and it also provide me with some more depth that I was lacking after trading away quite a few of my mids.

Purple 77

The Brewers and Suns have struck a deal

BERLIN TRADES: Chris Knights

MEXICO CITY TRADES: James Sellar

Reasoning:
Was looking to get all the Melb ruckman, and in the 50/50 chance Sellar doesn't get Ruck status, he will be a handy back-up defender. Although Knights looks like he will improve his average at another club, it is likely he would not make my starting mids, perhaps forwards, but overall he wasnt needed

Confirmed: I like Sellar as my 3rd ruck, but I also like Knights and I am happy to increase my forward depth.
This is necessary for me due to my old forward line constantly battling injuries. :)

CANCELLED

Because Hogan retired. :-\

New trade:

NYR Trades:

33, Bastinac, Vince, Rischitelli, Horsley, Johnston

Cairo Trades:

Bennell, K. Stevens, Crozier

Reasoning is pretty much the same, just subbing Stevens in for Hogan. :)

Confirm cancelling.

Confirm trade. Also same reason as before.

Purple 77

Another trade for the Brewers

BERLIN TRADES: Mark Seaby

LONDON TRADES: Pick 64

Reasoning: Seaby is not a required a player, and he is getting on. Although good scorer when he plays, I have some doubts about Job Security. Pick 64 would hopefully get me someone of at least the same quality
