In late breaking news, the Pacific Islanders have secured the services of Billy Longer.

After long and tense negotiations, a deal was finally reached early this morning.

Pacific Islanders give: Pick 5 + Sam Docherty

Dublin Destroyers give: Billy Longer + Adam Tomlinson

REASON: With rumors that Darren Jolly and Cameron Wood may be heading elsewhere, I needed to find a new ruckman. While Longer is still a while away from being the number one ruckman, he's a great asset to have nonetheless and will be part of this club for years to come. :)

Reason:  While the potential in longer is huge, with Goldy and Clarke I just don't need him in my squad. Tomlinson and Docherty we both rated very similar but i felt i needed the backs slightly more. I have a plan for pick 5 and im almsot postive i can get 1 of 2 players who will play up front and hopefully be my F5

The massive trading week at the Islanders continues with a trade being reached with the New Dehli Tigers over the services of utility Lewis Roberts-Thomson and the exchanging of draft picks.

New Dehli Tigers give: Pick 7

Reason: After the loss of pick 5, I needed to find a suitable top 8 draft pick replacement and this pick upgrade gets me there. :)

Toronto give: Mitchell, Pick 13 & Pick 43

Reasoning: Mitchell gives me another premium mid. Pick upgrades evens it up as Mitchell is 30 & a mid compared to Luey being a 24yo premium ruckman and they are hard to come by.


And with that trade done I am looking for a ruckman. Picks 13, 25 & 43 on the table. Not trading players.

Reasoning: While it's sad to see VC Mitchell go, it's for the greater good. Can't say too much about this trade without revealing details of a future trade but all I can say is, I doubt Leuey will be staying in Toronto for long.
