Well neither have really shown that scoring potential yet so it's a lottery if they do score well or not. I'm losing big short term for potential long term gain...
Guaranteed long term gain. Both are Top 8 Draft Picks.
It's the same story with my trade, short term gain, long term pain yet you rejected mine?

That surprises me, if that's the case I withdraw my complaint  :P

Why do you think I would have rejected it? Did you ever see me complain about it when it was announced?

CF can't get on the chat. Some firewall thing, if I am correct.

Rightio, still waiting on HP, but I can see people want to know the reasons.....

Trade 6

Proposed Trade:
Mexico City Gives: Terry Milera and Kyle Reimers
New Delhi Gives: Daniel Merrett and Brent Harvey

Voted against: 7 (Boomz, MajorLazer, meow meow, My Chumps, ossie85, pyronerd, Ringo)

Reasons included:

- Terry Milera not considered to have great fantasy potential
- Kyle Reimers uncertain of Job Security at Essendon, could be delisted and even if not will likely have limited game time next year
- Brent Harvey is old, but proven high scorer, and even if one season left could be one more than Reimers has
- While not dominant, Daniel Merrett is a clear back-starter with strong job security, Milera and Reimers are fringe.
- Averages disproportionate (Harvey 94.91, Merrett 77.05 for Milera 63.07 and Reimers 56.20)

Trade 25

Proposed Trade:
Buenos Aires give: 2nd round Preseason Draft pick and Dane Swan, Matthew Boyd, Shannon Hurn, Heath Scotland and Stewart Crameri
Buenos Aires receive: Pick 1, Ben Howlett, Brad Ebert, Brock McLean, Nathan Foley, Garrick Ibbotson, Scott D. Thompson

Mexico City gives: Pick 18, Ben Howlett, Brad Ebert, Brock McLean, Nathan Foley, Garrick Ibbotson
Mexico City receives: 2nd round Preseason Draft pick, Dane Swan, Matthew Boyd, Shannon Hurn, Heath Scotland

Dublin gives: Pick 1 and Scott D Thompson
Dublin receives: Pick 18 and Stewart Crameri

Voted against: 6 (Boomz, c4v3m4n, ossie85, Purple 77, pyronerd, Ringo)

Reasons included:
- Mexico City domination of trade, receiving 4 extremely high quality players while loosing fringe-very good players only.
- Dublin's loss of #1 pick is poorly compensated
- Dublin's Scott Thompson deemed more valuable than Buenos Aires Stewart Crameri, definately not enough for the #1 and #18 swap
- Buenos Aires' Shannon Hurn not adiquately compensated
- Damaging to the competition given Mexico City's already strong squad
- Value of 2nd round Presason draft pick deemed to be not worth much
- Swan and Boyd still have a couple of strong seasons left
- Though old, Heath Scotland was of only a few century averaging defenders
- Dublin and (to a lesser extent) Buenos Aires lose too much

Ok, just remember, we all have the rights for our opinions, and have months to sort things out.

I also think the voting system is working - 25 from 27 trades went through. More than I thought would, given I objected to 6 trades :/

DazBurg

question
i know HP hasn't voted but if his votes won't make a difference is it all that important?

Seems unfair for everybody else to express sometimes difficult opinions, plus if he doesn't it gives people incentive to leave voting until the last minute.

Boomz

Any chance you would give numbers on the other trades? No need for names just would be interesting :-X

ossie85

Yeah, will do - but will insist on waiting for HP after this...

Also, for the 2 trades that have been rejected, please give time for those to make another deal! Open slather from Thursday I think.
