If you want to play elite sport, then you need to accept that you will be traveling, and probably not playing out of your home town. These guys like Ben are spoilt and they want their cake and eat it to! If you cannot handle the traveling of an elite sportsman/woman, don't do it! You big sook

no, you don't-  ben jacobs is an example of this, the afl is designed so you can leave a team if you so want to. Going back to melbourne mightn't have even been his biggest motivator- he could have been offered a better contract, or maybe he wants to play finals footy some time in his career.

professional sportsmen get paid to play sport- the definition of where they play the sport has no impact on whether or not they're professional.

nah, nobody will use more than pick 15 on a player that specifically wants to go to another club. North probably wouldnt use it, but their next pick is late enough that someone else might take him.

Yeah North either uses Pick 15 or loses him imo. He'll be snapped up by Bulldogs, Saints or Richmond by the time they get their second pick.

He's going home, that's a given but if North want him, they'll have to use Pick 15. There are definitely teams eagerly waiting in the wings to take him if they don't.
