Was to be expected when we did not land Tippett. It was no secret that our next priority was a mature aged mid fielder and this had been forecast (Would have preferred Young to Moloney but can not be choosy).  With Black being sub material and all our other mids 23 or under a good move with a 2 year contract.  Moloney should give us that in and under ball winning option in the clearances which we were sadly lacking this year. Finished well down in this stat.

So possibly can do a maguire and lift.

I think its actually a good pickup for Brisbane.  The Lions got smashed in clearances and Moloney is a clearance specialist

With Rocky who knows what Voss will be do. If you can read between the lines in some of the statements made I suspect Rockliff may start at Half Forward and move to mids when Black is subbed out, Just a theory though but makes sense given the comments.

And yes Moloney is a clearance specialist which we so lacked this year.  Will be great for him to pass this on to Beams, Zorks and co.

Bear in mind Monfreis is a restricted player so Melbourne do have 3 days to match Brisbanes offer when made. I do not expect they will but is a possibility.  Will be interesting to see what compensation pick Melbourne receive if he moves.

The whole attraction of him being selected in the fwd line in SC though was that he can score like a midfielder but if he gets even less time in the mid I can see his avg dropping even further. Voss please wake up and realise he is your best midfielder and needs to play in the midfield!
