Subject to medical but a good edition to the Lions

Yeah don't count your chickens mate  :P but it seems in all likely hood he will go to Brissy. He will be cheap so if he starts pumping out decent scores in the NAB cup I will consider as a 5th mid option as a POD over ball/embley

nice get for Brissie,  here's the link

BRENT Moloney has found a new home after agreeing to terms with Brisbane this afternoon.

Moloney will have a medical examination at the club tomorrow, but will almost certainly be given the green light on a two-year deal to play for the Lions.

“He’s absolutely pumped. I think he deserved an opportunity and it would have been a real injustice if he hadn’t have been able to continue his AFL career,” Moloney’s manager Bruce Kaider told SuperFooty.

“He’s really excited about the opportunity to play under Vossy (coach Michael Voss).”

Three teams had showed an interest in Moloney, who played 145 games for Melbourne and won the 2011 best-and-fairest.

Good get for Brissy, a hard-bodied midfielder who can find the pill.
Dont mind the idea of him as a unique M5 as he isnt that old or coming off an injury...will have to keep an eye on NAB form.

Personally I dont think he's a good get at all. I was baffled at Brisbane's decision to get him. Thought Voss would have learnt his lesson by now on grabbing washed up recycled players.
Good luck to him at his new home though, hopefully he can turn his career around and repay Brisbane for giving him the chance.
As far as DT is concerned I wont be going near him

You're right, dream team he isn't worth it. Too many players to pick from that are must haves and rookies. but i disagree with you on the point of brisbane shouldn't of signed him. he's still a very good player and is perfect timing to have him with simon black on his last year.

Is he going to keep Rocky out of the mids ? :(

+1 not considering for DT but he should still be a good player. He had just one bad year after winning the b&f the year before.

not everything is about GWS mate

'Brent Moloney signs with Brisbane' that's a pretty GWS-ish title for sure ::)

Generally I think it's a good pick up.  Gives them a bit of extra grunt through the mids.  Wonder though whether Vossy had hesitations in picking up another off cast from a rival club.  Such a bad run with them, and while Id expect Moloney to have a positive impact up there, it could be another tick against Voss if it doesnt work out.

I dunno im not convinced guys. He isnt exactly young, he'll be 29 by the start of the season. Had a reasonable season in 2011 and won the B&F but there was not much competition at the Dees that year and this year couldnt get a game at Melbourne who had no midfielders of any standard. Thats a worry. Think they would be better off giving Rocky the mid time he deserves rather than recycling yet another footballer pushing 30
