Thoughts on not starting Dane Swan and Ablett this year in dream team??? Purely just a thought.... Reason been, can Swan really maintain a 133 average. Abeltt a 124 average? Thinking swan is bound to drop in price... And ablett not too sure about... Thinking he has more chance of keeping that average or higher..

Purely boredom here and just wanna know ha..

Here's a comment champ  :P
I reckon you will have to have at least one. Just imagine lining up week after week against everyone else who has at least one...... Scary thought

The prices are only estimates at this stage so who know what they will need to average. Personally i started with both Swan and GAJ this year but with their starts being smaller then the rest of the season. i am considering not picking either of these 2 guys at the start of the season and upgrading to them about half way through. It will depend on their bye structure, their price and who they play at the start of the season

Go ahead, don't pick either. Good luck in 2014...

who will be your captain then  :o

im pretty sure the winner didnt have both to start last year

Starting without one is ok, but without both...thats just suicide lol.

There are plenty of gun midfielders cheaper than Swan, but none can guarantee captain scores week in week out. Swan is the only sure thing when it comes to captain choices, and worth every penny. You say he will drop in price, and he most likely will. But what if he doesnt? If he stays around the 600k mark it will be incredibly hard to get him into your team, probably costing 3 trades. If Ablett does the same and maintains his average you could be looking at 3 trades for him aswell.

And trust me, it hurts when these 2 guys are pumping out 140s and you dont have them in your team.

Swanny is the safest captain option in the comp.

+ 1 .. gotta start with one of em

Yeah definitely have to start with one, I will be starting with both of them as I have for the last few years. They are clearly the best 2 scores in the comp and there is no reason to suggest why they won't next continue to be next year. Yeah sure they will both drop in price at some stage of the season but while you don't have them you are losing 20+ points a week to opponents that are smart.

Yeah i Recon i'll start with both, but also i'll need to find some cheap gems to compensate, thats the tricky part
