Grade: 10/10

Swan in 2013
Price: $670,300 (Fan Planner)
Position: C

Swan is an accumulator. He racks up possessions up at will, kicks goals and is almost impossible to tag. Although he is more suited to DT he is still a super premium in SC and a very popular choice amongst many teams. In 2013 Swan will be the second most expensive player, behind only the great Gary Ablett. He will be 29 at the start of the season but is showing no signs of slowing down. In the past Swan has been a player that coaches have chose to look to as an upgrade target in the second half of the season rather than a starting mid. He has averaged over 120 4 years in a row and theres no reason that he wont do so once again

Predicted avg: 125

Thanks quinny  :)
Swanny definitely an upgrade target for me.
Cant go past Murph & Cotch for value, and the must-haves in Pendles & GAJ.

+ 1, won't start with him but will be a great upgrade target. Just like this year upgraded to Swan at rd13 and he was great but suits DT scoring more

Capper

nice write up quinny

Not too sure whether to start Swannie or not?? Usually starts well out of the gate, but that price might drop after 5-6 rounds

Ricochet

Swan was around the same starting price last year and did drop to 600k after two poor scores in RD1 and RD2. But by RD6 he was already back to 640k and then RD7 was 660k. Your rooks won't be ready to downgrade by RD6 so i don't really see the point in not starting with him. He's a lock for me

Shihan7

Will not start him over Pendles, GAJ, Cotch and Murphy, but will look at him as an upgrade target.

dmac07

Currently starting him as a point of difference. With Gac, Pendles, Cotchin, SWAN. He may drop in price at some stage, but may not also, and if he drops 50-60k from his starting price in say round 10, ill take his 125 average till then that others dont have.

Swan's probably going to be an upgrade target for me if anything. Definitely won't start with him as I'll probably opt for Pendles and I'm likely to start Ball at his price.
