So, regarding Jon's mum

- Ned never liked talking about her
- When Jon heads off to the wall, and Ned to King's Landing, Ned says "You may not have my name, but you have my blood", or something along those lines. The 2nd part of that...
- Ned finds Lyanna in a "bed of blood"
- Her last words to him were "Promise me, Ned"

I like the idea that he may be a targ. Son of Rhaegar & Lyanna.
He'll ride on the back of drogon with his brother Bran & Dany ride on Rhaegal and viserion to kings landing.

That'd be a great way for the books to end.
