Am I the only one who actually thought Oberyn's death doesn't make any sense? Like let's not start an argument about realism in a show with dragons and undead yetis n stuff, so I won't start an argument about how it wouldn't be possible to explode someones head in that manner, let alone having been speared in the chest and having had your achilles sliced and diced before hand. Let's accept that Gregor is simply beyond human and doesn't need a heart or tendons to function, and that Oberyn had a genetic deficiency resulting in his skull being approximately as sturdy as a water balloon.

BUT

During the fight, Oberyn was dancing around Gregor like a champ, agile as flower, on the occasional time Gregor booted him or got his sword reasonably close, Oberyn was backflipping outta there. Then all of a sudden Oberyn gets ankle tapped and it's game over? I call BS. If you want to kill another favourite character then fine, I'm getting used to that. But at least do it in a way befitting the character.

I don't think it's that unrealistic, he was focussing on getting Gregor to admit what he did to Elia and was kind of playing with him if you will, stands over him and bam, Gregor gets him down and that's the end of it :P
