Unfortunately haven't read the books, but from what I can gather the specific scene I am referring to happened in the book and the same characters died.

I just bought the first book, and I also heard that those same people died in the 3rd one or whatever.

Nope - that's the end of those two IMO. She'll definitely want her revenge though!
