Senior list elevation, contract extension for Spurr

Fremantle defender Lee Spurr has been rewarded for his solid 2012 season with elevation to the club's senior list and a two-year contract extension.

The 25-year-old, who played in two premierships for SANFL side Central Districts before being drafted to Freo, played 13 games, including every match from round 16 onwards.

He became a valued member of a defence that ranked second in the AFL for points conceded behind only premiers Sydney.

“Lee impressed in his first year of AFL football and we look forward to him being an important member of the team in the next season and beyond,” general manager of player management Brad Lloyd said.
