I`m looking for a new ISP at the moment we are just using a huawei pocketwifi with vodafone it was ok but now it is flowering pissing me off big time.It continuously loses network or disconnects from my computer even tho it has full network. It happens to a workmate as well who lives 5 minutes away from me.

Been doing a bit of internet research and was wondering about naked dsl if anyone currently uses it and if it is any good because I don`t really want a phone we have mobiles thats enough.

Also I don`t want Telstra and according to Optus they can`t connect in our area so I`m looking at a couple of other companies like iinet, internode or westnet.

Any help/advice is really appreciated. For those that don`t know I`m in WA if that helps.

i use TPG and cant really complain about the price $60 a month for line rental and unlimited usage no off peak or on peak do what you want when you want

only thing that annoys me is there's no warning about when your payment is due they just try to take the money out of your account i get paid fortnightly and on a tight budget but if i call them up and say i cant pay for a week they don't mind waiting, whats weird is i get the same customer service person every time lol

but yeah i cant really say anything bad about them at all will be happy to renew my contract with them

I use Internode ASDL and have no problems at all Luv. I Pay $70 a month for 200gb of data Even with movie downloads etc most I have used is 140gb for a month.  This is the only issue as they do not have an between plan from 60gb to 200gb. (Would be ideal if they had a 100gb)
Check the internode site for a number of plans. You just type in address and they advise whether available in your area. Sure you will find something in the ASDL Easy Naked or Wireless that may suit.
Monthly fees are deducted on the same day each month which helps with budgeting and they send you an email at the start of the month with what is going to be debited at the end of the month.

Was with iinet before internode and went across as at the time their plans were better. Had no real problems with iinet either,

I also use TPG on their $60 unlimited ADSL2 package (with line rental).  You have to pay for ALL phone calls you make on the landline and you need to "prepay" a small amount (I prepaid $20) to cover call costs.  That is fine for me as I will never use the landline.

I migrated to this package earlier this year and it was a really smooth transition and they actually emailed me at every step of the process.

I am very happy with the setup and havent had any issues since being connected.

yeah, tpg has been really good to us as well.

My olds just moved onto IINET and theyu havent had any problems thus far. You can use something like Broadband Choice to decide what plan suits you best. On quality of those providers i dont know

I am on a staff plan so that wont help you out deciding

Thanks guys.
I've just checked TPG and they have no coverage in our area and i'm limited with iinet, westnet and internode as well.
Seriously it's like I live in the middle of nowhere instead of suburban Perth.

i got it from this

"The most remote city with a population in excess of one million is Auckland, New Zealand. The nearest city of comparable size or greater is Sydney, Australia, 2,168.9 kilometres (1,347.7 mi) away.[16] Coming in a close second at 2,139 kilometres (air travel distance) is Perth, Australia. Its nearest city of at least one million population is Adelaide, Australia."

Ziplock

Auckland- is only a few hundred km from wellington, and 2100 from sydney

Perth- nearest major city is adelaide... 2100km away...

wellington has a population of 400 000, so imo that qualifies as a city...

Dont most Kiwi's migrate to Perth anyway??
