Why is the 20 PM per hour limit in place?

Must say, in my two and a half years on FF and this is the first time I breached it.

Just wondering, why is it there?

I then got two more in then was capped for another 5-10 minutes :(

yeah, it's to stop spamming, but it really showers me. The 30 second osting rule is annoying as well if you're going through multiple topics...

Those are default settings, I haven't touched them.

They are there for good reasons, though.

try turning your modems off for 30 seconds then back on i know on other sites this resets things like these
