David Koch new Port President

A very interesting choice for President in David Koch. He works on sunrise Monday to Friday in Sydney so being able to oversee the club may be a Part-time role. Most certainly he has the money background to be able to keep the club buoyant. He also would have a lot of contacts throughout so it will be interesting to see how it all goes. I remember him on sunrise as a rugby person in his younger days although I'm not sure of his Port support has been all the time.

Koch is from SA. He grew up in Largs North, Port territory. Number 1 ticket holder for a while now.
He is an excellent pick up. Business background and contacts is the high profile president we need.

See now that Port aren't being run by those dogs at the SANFL, we might actually be structured properly.
And despite people's issues with our list, it will translate to wins on the field. Port have been so poorly managed over the last... well since 2006 actually.

With Cameron and Richardson, we'll actually have a decent outside coaching team and with our former fitness guy coming back from Liverpool FC, we might have a team who can run games out. Cut out some of the deadwood, and Port will be back before long and everyone can begin to hate them again rather than feel sorry for them.

Very good news indeed. Finally Port are moving forward.

I know it sounds crazy but I actually think its a good move.  Get some publicity for a club that is copping a bashing from all corners in the media.  Get someone in who is known to be a finance guy and someone who has a big media profile.

Very smart choice
Power supporter and a very good business mind as well as financial mind who we also bring Power some publicity, cant see why some power supporters ive seen on Facebook are complaining

This is a very wise choice by the Power. The man knows a bit about running businesses and with the Power in the mire they're in ATM, he's just the man to get them out of it, especially with the contacts he has.

Look at other clubs who have well known presidents, do you get the drift?

From the moment David Koch started on Sunrise years ago I thought he was a very smooth, astute operator and after all these years with all his articles etc on finance and stuff I always thought were does he get the time for it all. Comparing on sunrise will take up a lot of his time during the week in Sydney so how is he going to get the time to be the President of a club? It would be quite a good move but a fail to see how you can be a president of a club living in another state. Collingwood and the roos have high profile presidents but they are living were there clubs are.

Well if I was a Port Supporter I would not be happy that a President was running the club from skype. Marketing the club is more than skype. You have to be at the grass roots level for a start. It's about meeting people on a personal level etc etc
