You finished top of the ladder and lost the GF by 10 points which was not a result of Sydneys full forward dominance. Hasnt cost you much so far, dont think it will start. Fair enough looking for a new back if yo think schoey needs a hand but lake is not that man imo

I've heard rumours about Mitch Brown from WCE wanting to leave and it would be great if we could get him, I really like him as a player. However he's not a free agent and West Coast wouldn't want him to leave, plus I think he may be contracted.

The good thing for us is that when these happened, we won those games anyway.

Nah this is just not the answer imo.
Hawthorn were the best side all season, they didnt get over the line on the big day but it wasnt because Sydneys full forward tore you apart and kicked 8. Dont need a bloke on the wrong side of 30 that hasnt been near his best for 3 years

We lost the game because our midfielders didnt run both ways and we got sliced up through the middle. Birch and Suckers were stopped, our game plan was exposed and we did not kick straight. All this hype about a 'gorilla defender' won't stop that.
Shoey will be better for another year under his belt and Lake is just getting on. While I wouldnt completly be against getting Lake, to give up any pick before the 3rd round would be foolish IMO.

I think this would be the best move ever! not is he just a great defender he would be great for schoenmakers development. And would strenghthen the backline yeah so what he is 30 defenders can go for longer than mids and the hawks are what he needs to get that spark back in his game and the hawks will need him for as liong as the premiership window is open i say go for it for the teams success hangs in the balance!
