WESTERN Bulldogs defender Brian Lake has been linked to Hawthorn as the minor premier looks to bolster its shaky backline.

Yeah but who would want a 30 year old burger?

elephants

Wow... Of say it's in the Dogs best interest to let him go, get an early second round or late first round pick and begin to rebuild?

Hawka

I want him
One, two years and bam premiership chances go up
Gives Shocenmakers two years to bulk up

Agree, I want him too. Will be similar to the recruitment of Stewy Dew who was just around for a year or two to help get the premiership. Will stop Schoenmakers having to play on the best and biggest forward every week while he bulks up. Hopefully we won't have to give up too much to get him though.

Cicjose

the bulldogs will probably want draft picks

I don't even believe it tbh. Lake is contracted (I thought he was and it says so in the article) and not to mention I honestly don't see us chasing a KPD this year as I think now we simply have to back in Schoey to improve. I am very, very sceptical about this, I think it is just some nuff nuff adding 2 and 2 together and getting 5.

Hawka

Well most of our trades/ mature picks have paided of since 07
Burgoyne, Gibson, Hale, Dew, Puopolo, Smith so im backing Clarko to make the right choice

Capper

Will be interesting if this happens

Got to back Shoey imo

Or what happened with Talia. He takes the big forward, but still has some insurance with Rutten around. '

Well that's what I thought happened.

Not even kidding I am going to be SO SO disappointed if we recruit a mature KPD to come in a and play straight away.

Aha! You may have solved it! If Shoey plays on defenders he won't have multiple goals kicked on him every week! You sir are a genius!

haha my bad.... forwards... best forwards

quinny88

Nah this is just not the answer imo.
Hawthorn were the best side all season, they didnt get over the line on the big day but it wasnt because Sydneys full forward tore you apart and kicked 8. Dont need a bloke on the wrong side of 30 that hasnt been near his best for 3 years
