Did anyone hear anything about Freo being interested in Pearce? I certainly didn't.

It's probably a very long shot, but Pearce has spent his entire career at what is probably the worst DT club in the AFL and has averaged in the 70s seven years in a row now - is there any chance he could become DT relevant at a new club?

Seeing as he will be surrounded by Fyfe, Mundy, Barlow, Hill and others in the midfield he certainly isn't going to be copping a tag every week. If the deal goes through - which it should - Pearce would have to be considered, but I feel he is more of a Super Coach player than Dream Team as he can rack up the points with long effective kicks into the forward line.

Will definitely consider if listed as a DEF/MID or even just a DEF.

Cicjose

shouldn't be DPP

freo will play him through the middle to help fyfe and hill to break the lines

Well yeah he should be, he played in Defence many times for the Power over the year and rotated through the middle.

Cicjose

it should mean Broughton is a midfielder

assuming Pearce goes to half back like you are suggesting

Dude, they always use the previous year for working out which players have or don't have DPP. It would be stupid if they tried to 'predict' where players would be playing because not only can it change very quickly but its also VERY subjective.

if broughton can stay in the mids than he will easiliy score the highest, i would say the least risky option is probably fisher as he will throw in the orginal shocker but he is almost certain to give you a 85+ average for the rest of the season and most likely something in the range of 90-100. Broughton could go anywhere for 70-110 in my opinion. Im getting in the fish myself this week.

tough call, broughton should get a run in the midfield, whilst poo is playing gold coast.  tough tough tough. His 129 last week got me through the the GF by 15 points.

Quote from: pavs nose
on a positive note for broughton owners he should get more of a running role next week. ibbotsons shoulder looks gone for the year and lower is gone to suspension(played midfield last night). could mean gregory step into the midfield.

Yeah that reply was to Cic, sorry.

In reply to you, it is hard to tell at this stage but I would wait for more water to go under the bridge at this stage. We don't know if Fremantle will even get Pearce or whether they plan on using him in Defence or through the midfield.

I thought you were claiming that Broughton should be eligible in DT/SC next year as a mid only, not simply that he will play through the middle at times next year. Which one do you mean ?

Scrads

Not to mention I thought we were talking about Pearce...?

Cicjose

you are expecting broughton to play mids next year because you think pearce will go to half back

i am expecting the things to stay the same and broughton to get lock down roles with pearce being another line breaking midfielder
